300 Win Mag Brass Best of the Best

Prior to the election theft, I picked up 250 PPU/Privi Partisan brass. $100 shipped. Starting on the 3rd firing and I hope the primers stay in the hole. 😄 I don't think I'm running them hot either. No other pressure signs. PPU case weights were acceptable, better than Winchester.

I like sedancoyboy's comment about having enough brass to wear out a barrel. I never thought of it like that, so it relaxes my brass buying anxiety a little. Two barrels from now I'll start in on Petersen or Lapua.

Any more updated on this? I currently use Norma brass - but might snag some Lapua whenever I can find it.

My dad recently got a 300 WM, so might give him my new Norma brass - but not if it is equal to Lapua.

I look at brass this way, its like the foundation to building a house.
I hate trimming and prepping brass and if I can get ADG or Lapua ill do it everytime, matter of fact I won't build a gun unless I can get there brass for the cartridge. I currently have to prep the crap out of 270wsm WW to get my 6.5x300wsm to shoot consistently. When theres ADG 300wsm available and I will switch over as soon as I've wore out my current brass im using.
I've had unexplained flyers I tracked right back to poor brass its just another variable to eliminate finding a very good consistent load.

I have been reloading for 35 years, but every day is an education here for me. Thank you sir!

ok lots of 300 win mag rifles all for 800 yd plus shooting.
best brass was RWS...BUT TRUTH BE TOLD i had a ton of it and searched thru it for a couple hundred with the same weight.
ADG is my next pick...in use very good so far.
a work in progress is new federal mil pull down brass.
so far so good.
all brass is full prep( less neck turn on the fed)

my concern with the new lapua is that th elast time they offered it, it was subcontracted brass with norma being the best guess for actual source. so a comment from lapua would be nice.
yep i like lapua

Got a couple of boxes of Peterson Long 300 win mag but haven't used any yet. They come in a box separated so they can't get all dinged up.
My new unused box of 300 Weatherby Mag came in a bag packed so there could not be much moving around.I have had fair success with Norma but pockets getting too large happens much sooner than Peterson,Lapua brass.
Have not used ADG brass yet but it's on my short list.
In the short run you will like the Norma,I have used Norma for many years now in many different calibers.
Just my opinion.
