I did it and wife isn't talking to me. She just doesn't understand guns cost more than they did years ago. Browning x bolt max long range 6.5prc in dark earth for $959 shipped free with a $49.99 box of 264 130 grainers(not what I wanted but got me free shipping). Wait there's more, $100 rebate. I'm anxious now half thinking it's too good to be true. When I get tracking info I will feel better. Four left. I can't believe I'm the only one that bought one of these. I thought they would all be gone before my order got processed. First of next week predicted delivery. I'm thinking more like end of week.

Well I got my rifle today. 1n7 3 groove stainless 26" barrel. Mag holds 2.295col no problem. Trigger came at 3lbs 8oz. With adjustment screw removed trigger is 3lbs 3oz. But there isn't any movement to speak of. Got 8-32 Mueller mounted and will shoot it tomorrow. Pretty happy with midway. Ordered gun Wednesday afternoon. Holiday on Thursday and got it Monday morning. Very anxious to get it going.

I loaded 8 rounds and got zeroed in 2. A three shot group under a inch then next shot went high and left along with next shot. Made adjustment and it didn't move much. Out of ammo. I hate when things happen that can't be explained. Minimal recoil. Very nice to shoot. I like the 26" barrel, I can shoot reduced loads and still get good velocity.

Let us know what it takes to zero after the fliers

Problem is it didn't have any fliers, it shot two separate groups a inch apart both under a inch.
I got out again today. 200yds, 15 to 18mph, gusts to 30, 30* 5 shots all on clean bore 1 3/8"across by 1 1/8" high. I was a little jiggly too so I know gun will do better. I must have lucked out on wind. I can't reach lands and use magazine since 2.995 is longest that fits mag. Gun must be reamed for 156,s. Every time I shoot this gun I like it more. Think I will single feed a group and see if longer is better. 58.2gr h1000 behind 143eldx around 3k?

Tested gun on MI whitetail does@150, 200 and 260yds. It's not a 7mag that's for sure. The 143eldx,s did ok. Two broadside shots, 150yds took two ribs in and out about 4"Id hole liver and lungs with pieces of lungs as a trail. 200yd was two ribs in and one out quartering thru about 18" of chest hitting liver and lungs. Far shot was Texas heart shot and put a hole thru pelvis about size of average apple removing everything in its path and jacket was lodged in left chest after shattering rib. I'm not sure if I'm happy or not. I was maybe expecting more. Not sure. First went 90 plus yards on dead run. Second went 60ish. Far shot was drt. More testing needs to be done. PS: I got rebate sent in yesterday.

The 150 yard shot there's nothing any caliber can do about that - sometimes they run without a heart or lungs, liver hanging out the hole, blowing clouds of blood out of their noses. A guy at work lung punched a doe last week at dusk and couldn't find her in the dark, next morning he bumped her out of a bed tracking her, and the way it sounded just standing up is what let the hole open again and finished the job. Somehow her bedding down put pressure on something that was enough to keep her alive all night, and she died just from moving again.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the ELD-Xs but AccuBonds, Paritions, or a mono would fragment less.

I have the same rifle in 6.5CM, did a Timney trigger and it's a lot better now than the stock trigger was.

Lots of utubes on how to make the trigger better. Springs and adjustments to springs. My gun 143gr eldx @3060 is .7 to .4 moa me dependent. Current trigger after tweak 2.125lb. My opinion any LR bullet stay off shoulder and behind it under 400yds and all is good. Little to no meat damage just mush lungs. I expect this gun to become my No.1 after Jager suppressor gets in my hands.

Well I got 4 more does but nothing past 300yds on last 4. All shots were where I wanted and performed good. It's a keeper. I did get my rebate ck so it's a $859 dollar gun. I'm very happy with it.
