Covid got me, elk hunt on hold...

Dang Bob, I'm just a few miles from you. We had the booster two weeks ago. If you need anything just PM me. I had to PointGuard my deer tag this October due to a blown shoulder. Hope you and the family recover very soon.
Yeah this stuff is radioactive. 2 miles away should keep you out of the hot zone. Thanks for offering assistance!

Dont try to do to much to soon. My wife and I both had mild cases of the "Rona" last December. I felt fine after day 8 and went out in my yard to do some yardwork. I was tired out and done in 30 minutes of light work. I could not imagine trying to hike up to a high glassing knob or packing out a elk quarter.

Get well...

My elk season was Oct 10-24.
My buddy traveled 700 miles and had about $1500 invested in the trip. We camped at high elevation in a wall tent. Nightime temps around 15°. Snowed about everyday. Daytime hikes to 8200 ft. Lots of elk.
After a week we went into town to resupply and get propane. I picked up the Kung Flu then. It came on fast. I sucked it up and hunted 5 more days with full-on flu. Finally threw in the towel the day after my partner got an elk. I couldn't hunt the last three days and got skunked.

Started getting sick last Sunday and my booster was already scheduled for following Tuesday.
Guess I don't need that now. 5 members of our family got it
You got sick last Sunday, Keep an eye on yourself. You get to the point to where you start feeling run down and can't go no more ,that's your lungs start to fill up what the Medical field calls COVID Pnemonia. You need to get to the ER or you may pass out if you keep pushing it and end up with a ambulance ride to the hospital like I did Dec 3. I'm still recovering at home. It's nothing to play with. 3 days on oxygen 6days in the hospital getting steroids , antibiotics every day along with a blood thinner shot in the gut every 12 hrs. I hope you get filling better. Just wanted to give you a heads up. And I had just got back from Idaho a week before that all. I Started feeling, not like myself, and it progressed worst on a daily basis.

Thanks! We got right on the antibiotics and prednisone. O2 sats are good. Coughed up a bunch of junk but that is almost gone. Doc didn't want 02 to fall below 91. It's still 95 and higher. No fever but cold sweats are really bad. No bed rest because of the chills. Fatigue is minimal when I can manage rest, and I'm getting antsy to finish an electrical install in my shop. I can just do parts of it at a time if I feel wimpy.

Watch yourself WARDOG. I got back from Idaho a mouth ago and my body started going south .10 days later ,spent 6 in the Hospital. Be careful. Don't play with it. If you start passing out and crapping all over yourself your wife should call the paramedics. Still recovering at home. That happened on the 3rd.

A guy I know got out of the hospital about 2-3 months ago now. Last I saw he's still on O2. Younger guy too in his late 30's early 40's.

Where's he located at xsn10s? I'm 58. Him being a young guy the don't sound good.He starts south on the oxygen they may put him on vent. He'll be gone after that, unless the good LORD says other wise. What's his name so I can pray for him.

I don't make it a practice of giving out people's names. But the good Lord will know who you're praying for.

I did not spend that long in the hospital but on O2 for almost that long.

Lots on this thread are saying the same on lung capacity. That bothers me that we may not be out of the woods for a while...
