6.5-284 build questions

Here's a question that came up....I was told that I can't use a magnum bolt face and I need a standard .308 bolt. Is that correct? When I look at defiance actions I don't see an option other than magnum and Lapua bolt faces. How then do I get a standard long action with a non-magnum bolt face?
Weird but yes standard bolt face. Looks like the answer is above mine

Shane,
You could go with the XM(med) or the LA in the Anti-X My 156Gr loads in my rifles do not exceed 3.2" COAL so I would choose the XM in that action which is very close in size to my Cooper 52.
You need the .480" bolt to accommodate the 6.5x284(.473")

I am not looking, but the XM would be on the short list for sure. Mine is on a plain old Flat Back 110.
One of my first 6.5x284's, years ago, had a Savage 110 action. One of my most accurate and reliable 6.5x284's that is still in use. It got me forever hooked on the cartridge, taking prairie dogs to deer out to 1000+ yards. The only work on the action since…..Spent about $15 beefing up the ejector/extractor(springs, pin, detent ball).
