Im just looking for validation from this group, who i know have the best insight. I check 5 different websites every couple days, sites from which ive bought a lot of powder for 10 years. Continuing into the present, nobody has ANY smokeless rifle powder AT ALL. 6 months ago i was able to get a few pounds of V-n130, nothing at all since then.
Frankly I expected it to be a major subject of discussion… is there some secret I'm overlooking? Im not fishing for conspiracy theories, just facts and insights…

powder is being made, but a lot of it is going to ammo manufacturers at the moment. Loaded ammunition is starting to come back to the shelves a caliber at a time. Prices are still way up and will stay that way until things settle down. Gun manufacturers are still catching up also. I don't believe we'll see any reliable availability on anything related to firearms until sometime next year and with the present administration in charge, there are a lot of hurdles to cross.

If you change your "I check 5 different websites every couple days" to "I check five different sites multiple times per day, every day," you'll find powder. The good stuff lasts only minutes, not hours or days. It's not a casual shopping experience. It's a part time job right now and the hunt favors us pencil pushers with dual monitor setups and really long, boring, and pointless Zoom meetings we don't really have a point in attending. :)

Or, just hang around the classifieds section on here and wait for @Veteran to post about powder. He's been keeping us posted on powder and primer drops, non stop for weeks. Probably multiple updates per day about powder and primers in the reloading section of the classifieds.

If you're looking for H1000, Varget, RL26, Retumbo, or similar??? That's going to be tough. All of them have shown up in 2021, a couple of times, but they're sold out in a couple of minutes. Then, the only place you'll find it is gunbroker.com.

I would also suggest picking an alternate powder if you are on limited supply.

If you are getting low, save the pet load powder for the intended use, and you can use something else to be the workhorse for paper punching ;).

I have a couple of rifles that I am watching for my desired components, but have enough for my hunting. And I can target practice the majority of the year, and then adjust POI and go back to the tried and true at any time.

Who knows, you may stumble across a new favorite bullet/powder combo. I have picked up a few pounds of powder along the way that are versatile across multiple rifles for just this reason.

RL26 1# and 8# here locally but won't ship. No Retumbo,H1000 or H4350 till 2022 I'm told.

I was at my LGS this morning and the UPS Powder Fairy dropped off about 100 pounds of powder. The owner says he's getting two shipments a week but it isn't staying the shelf for long especially the 4350 and slower powders. I snagged a couple pounds at $45 ea plus Texas sales tax. I bought 6 pounds at the Abilene Gunshow last weekend. There was more powder at the Abilene show than I've seen at gunshow even pre COVID. I believe the shortage is ending, I just hope these high prices come back down soon.

ANY smokeless rifle powder AT ALL
You mean "that I want" right? Because literally every one has something in stock currently. Magpro and LRT are so commonly in stock I almost regret the keg of LRT I bought. I remember snagging 4# of 1680 last summer and thinking I hit the jackpot and I could shoot subs forever now, here we are now and it's in stock for a week+ at a time several places.
