Nosler or Bergara problems

Hi all I recently purchased a bergara b14 chambered in 28 nosler. Picked up 2 boxes (20 rounds each) of Nosler ammo loaded with 150 grain etips as it was all I could find in stock and took the first few shots with the rifle today. I shot a total of 5 shots and all 5 took some effort to chamber and all spent cases are showing ejector marks on them. Not super pronounced but just enough that I can feel them with my thumbnail. Not sure how serious that is as I'm new to this. When I got home I cycled all of the ammo through my gun and sorted it into 4 groups with the no. 1 group cycling as if on an empty chamber and the no. 4 group requiring significant effort to cycle with a few rounds being stiff enough that I didn't want to try to close the bolt. The grouping is as follows: Box 1, Group 1= 1 round, B1G2= 1 round, B1G3= 2 rounds, B1G4= 11 rounds. Box 2, Group 1= 2 rounds, B2G2= 6 rounds, B2G3= 5 rounds, B2G4=7 rounds. Now that I've somewhat explained the anecdotal information I have, what should be my next step moving forward? Also how concerned should I be with the ejector marks that I'm seeing? The primers are slightly flattened with almost non-existent cratering. Do you think that the chamber is tight or is nosler perhaps having serious issues with consistency right now? It seems to me that nosler is having problems due to the wide variation in "chambering feel" that I'm having. Thanks for any input! Side note, the first shot that I fired appeared to have a split case neck, however upon examination the case neck was not split but folded over and crimped for lack of a better term.

Contact Bergara, you have a lifetime warranty, they will probably want it back. I don't know if you are going to find any ammo available right now, you also can find out what brand of ammo Bergara uses to verify accuracy for the 28 Nosler. If you are a reloader, I would suggest you try your loads as well.

Get you a case gauge (if they make for the 28 Nosler?) and run them through, you'll find out pretty quick if it's the ammo.

I'd be even more concerned on the split neck on the first firing.

I suggest not to shoot any of those rounds. Are the lot numbers the same on both boxes?

I'd call both Bergara and Nosler. You have a nice radius on the primer so I don't think it's over pressured, but the ejector mark is out of norm. The neck could be a missed fold during I&P.

It looks like the neck issue was from the factory, I couldn't find any sort of lot number on the boxes of ammo

I know it's a long shot but if there is someone in my area who has some ammo they'd be willing let me try cycling through my gun I'd really appreciate it. I'm in Payson, AZ.

Are the ejector marks dented into the base? Or is it raised indicating brass flowing down into the ejector orifice?

I saw a pretty shocking Nosler problem on instagram the other day. Look up g7precisionfirearms on instagram, and about 4 posts back he pulled bullets and examined a box or two of factory Nosler 7 mag ammo that he was having problems with. Turns out that some of the bullets in the same box were loaded with different powders! I don't know what's going on at Nosler, but I don't trust them now.

I hate to say it, but this is NOT unusual.
Ammo makers use whatever powder they have on hand that gives them their desired ballistics, so different powders definitely get used and ammo from one line MAY get mixed up with ammo from another line.
Working at ADI, I saw the change of powder and it takes several runs before the entire line is on the same powder.
The computer operating the system knows when the lines are flushed and starts dispensing the new charge weight and powder. So some cartridges prior to this are still on the line for boxing ahead of the newer dispensed rounds, so I can see how it happens.
That ball powder in the video is most likely bulk powder 789. Very common factory powder. The stick powder looks like bulk 4831.
