I have decided to upgrade my old Lee to a Forster Co Ax. I have done a lot of reading, searching, watching etc and decided I wanted that one over the MEC. Who has bought one recently, was it a backorder, where, and about how long of a wait for it? I don't need one tomorrow so I wont be paying 475 on fleabay. I am fine waiting a little while for one from optics planet for $350 bucks, just wondering what others have seen.

Why did you choose the Forster over the MEC? I'm looking to upgrade to the MEC.
I actually got rid of all of my Dillon equipment. After a lot of research, the Forster possesses what I need and not things I don't. I want repeatable precision for rifle and could get close with Dillon but not where I wanted. I never researched MEC.

Forster has been around forever. I am not sure when they came out with the Bonanza line but a lot of people still run them and say they are just as accurate as when they came out decades ago. The overall design has not really changed, yet the demand is still very high. It seems they have a product they perfected. This will hopefully be the last press I ever buy. I am sure the MEC is a great press and looks like a tank. I almost bought one the other day. FYI Midway USA has MEC for $209 and there is a coupon code for free shipping right now (ends in like 55555 or something)

I wanted a Forster Co-Ax last year, waited six months and still no press available. I needed one bad since my old Lyman American Press was causing issues with slop in the turret. I got tired of waiting for the Forster and purchased a Frankford Arsenal M Press, glad I did, have not had issues with the press. I would seriously look at the Mec, not sure how you feel about the change out of dies requiring you to screw the die out of the press versus pulling it out like the Forster and F/A.

Get on a bunch of different websites and sign up for the email alerts when they come in stock. That's how I found mine last year at Natchez ... or maybe it was midsouth, i don't remember! But i was probably signed up on 5-6 different websites email lists.

I have loaded with a RCBS RockChucker for near on 45 years. Right now its on my bench with a Forester Ultra seater 6.5C competition die that I leave in place. Sizing with a FA CoAx I use Forester FL die with expander removed and use a mandrel die to expand the case mouth. I expected great things from a CoAx and find that the 6.5C ammo of the CoAx are no better than the last precision loads I worked up with the RockChucker. watch
