Meopta scopes?

Midsouth has several Meopta scopes on sale and I was wondering if y'all have any experience with this brand. Good experiences or bad experiences. Any and all input is appreciated. If they are worth the money it would be nice to get one on sale.
I was looking at the 3-18x50 specifically.
Input on reticles would also be nice.
I do prefer MOA based based scopes since that is what I am used to using.
Should I get a plain duplex and dial past 2 or 3 hundred yards or just use holdover/Kentucky windage? Most of my shots are 100-400 yards but I do want to stretch it out some once I have the time and place for it.
Would likely use it on 270 or 308.

I have a spotting scope the glass is outstanding and a hunting buddy that has the 3-18 rifle scope great scope if the deal is great I wouldn't hesitate on buying one.

I have owned one for about 2 to 3 months. The glass and clarity are amazing.
There are several guys on this forum who influenced me to try one sight unseen. Why? They claimed the glass you get in a Meopta will cost you double the money in most other brands. I know my Meopta was much clearer and held the ability to see at dusk much better than a Leupold VX5 HD.

Another guy on this forum has an Optika6 and a VX6. Says you have to have them side by side to tell that the VX6 is clearer at the very edges of the scope. Otherwise they are identical. I have limited experience but what I have seen first hand backs up what others have told me. $600 Meopta will be as clear and crisp as a $1200 scope in another brand.

Havent done a lot of tracking tests but so far if I move it X number of clicks it moves exactly what it is supposed to, and the clicks are about perfect to me. Each click is crisp and clean. Not mushy and easy to move 13 clicks and get it right.

If you could see how different optics companies design and build their products, you'd be a big Meopta fan. They are an old guard European company out of the Czech Republic and like most others (Swarovski, S&B, Leica, etc) from that part of the world they set out to make a scope with certain performance features with an emphasis on very tight tolerances.....basic quality control. Only after they succeed at getting the product at the desired level do they price it. And it costs what it costs.
The majority of other optics groups go about it in a much different way. They set a price based on a target market before ever knowing the costs that will be incurred in the design/build process.
There are some good optics coming from the Pacific Rim, but as a whole they lag way behind the glass coming out of Europe.
Meopta is a very highly respected company among those who know what's inside the optic. They may be the best value for hunting scopes, period.
You'll have to spend over 2x on glass to see a noticeable improvement, and even then it's not all that noticeable.

I have the Meopta Optica 6 3-18 ffp with the Diachro 4 D reticle love the reticle for fast target accusition its in MOA it also has zero stop and zero lock on the elevation turret you cant go wrong with Meopta
