.308 Winchester Still Has It

5 shots out of the trusty Savage FCP-SR with a 168 ELD-M and 42 grains of delicious Varget!

My 308 AR-10 LOVES the 165 Amax superformance. The little picture of the target in my avatar is a nod to shooting that 3/8" wide metal target off the 2x4 it had swung and flipped on top of. I didn't want to walk the 619 yds and I figured I was hitting everything, so on my second try I made a perfect strike and shot it off (see the scar on the 2x4). ... I'm just hoping my newly constructed 300 PRC can shoot that well.

To Rifles 308 the first target is three different rounds, five shots each at 100, for the green camo. The rest are pics from the brown Rifle at 500 (double taps) I would say the 308 is still relevant and if it makes people feel better it's a 7.62 Creedmoor😃

The brown rifle likes 175 prime Ammo The original recipe from Ruang here he is a pic of five at 100. I do not reload for these rifles I see no need to .even if I could make a better load I don't think I could shoot any better.

I also have a 7.62x63 non belted magnum that shoots a 208 amax at 2760FPS with RL26 from a 22 inch proof barrel. It sets beside my 7.62 Creedmoor or 30TC as it has been refered to.
