7mm hammer bullets

I'm looking to try some hammers for hunting, I've got 3 7mms I'd like to try them in. With the twist I've got I would have to say under 140 grains, but my 7wsm I can't load long so I'd need a shorter bullet.

I'm thinking the 120 hammer hunter would be good, I don't take shots over 500 yards on deer so bc isn't a big issue.

Guns are
Ruger m77 7x57 22"
09 Argentine mauser 7x57AI 24"
Browning A-bolt ii 7wsm 23"

any experience or loads would be appreciated.

The .284 Hammer Hunters work great! I loaded some 120gr Hammer Hunters for my daughter's 7-08. They are .02" off the lands and they shoot a 1" 5 shot group at 200 yards. She killed this goat this past weekend in New Mexico at 404 yards off shooting sticks.

If you don't want to dig through that spreadsheet just Use Nosler load data for like weight accubonds or barnes data for the ttsx/lrx and do a pressure test, stick to the faster burning powders for caliber

I would like to try the absolute only thing is it Mentions you may need a fast powder which I don't have right now. That and I think they maybe a bit long for my 7wsm. My max col is 2.840"

very cool do you recall the bullet damage .

She tucked it up in the armpit so it didn't hit any solid bone. I would say the exit was about 2" circle with much trauma inside.

That's one thing I'm liking about the hammers, most monos don't seem to exit tho guys brag all the time monos like Barnes penetrate good but I've seen so many animals were the bullet is just under the hide.

the hammers open and look to do a lot of damage but the base still passes thru the animal.

You said you were done with Hammers, Correct ?

It was definitely a pass thru. I saw the bullet kick up dust on the other side. That was the first animal taken with a Hammer. Just started using them.
I loaded some Hunter 120's for my other daughter's boyfriend in his 6.5 CM. He shot his goat at 200 yards and again complete pass thru and much damage inside.

Both the 7-08 and 6.5 CM were shot out to 500 yds on steel and rang every time.
