WTH did I just buy? First I've heard of these was on Graf's and they had them in stock. Barnes doesn't even have them listed. Hope they stabalize in a 10 twist can't imagine they wouldn't @ 3600fps+. Knowing Graf's it will be 4 weeks before I see them but I have plenty of Rl26 and H1000 to give them a whirl.

They won't stabilize. Shoot me a pm and I'll give you my addy so you can change the delivery. Always happy to help a fellow rifle looney.

Shooting a .257 Weatherby?

Lol nice try. Yes these will be used in a 257 wby with a 26" tube. Currently running the 117gr sst to fill crop damage permits and not sure I'm pleased with the on game performance. I played with the 100gr ttsx a little and had decent accuracy but never really finished development with them. These lrx might be a real sweet spot for what I'm doing

I'll keep this thread updated with my findings. I emailed Barnes yesterday to see if they could provide any data. Plan to use Rl26 start with 71gr and work up while chrongraphing. I had a very accurate load of 73gr of Rl26 with the 100gr ttsx but it was slow 3540fps. Never pushed it harder and haven't had the 257 very long so haven't had a chance to come back to it for any more development. Currently running the 117gr sst with 72gr of rl 26 for 3375fps. Very accurate but can be somewhat frangible

Got them today in the mail and compared them to the 100gr ttsx. The Lrx only has 1 "band" opposed to 2 on the ttsx. I took some measurements with my calipers lrx oal 1.208 base to ogive .620 bearing surface .50...ttsx oal 1.191 base to ogive .510 bearing surface .465. Barnes did get back to me and the only thing usefull they really provided was a g1 bc of .400. If that's accurate and I can push these to atleast 3500fps the ballistics look promising. I have 6 loaded in new Weatherby brass with Rl 26 tomorrow I will see if I can find pressure and corresponding velocities. Currently seating them right in the middle of the "band" coal 3.280.
