Help? What should I do?

I like my Benelli Montefeltro and Burris scopes. I didn't know they were owned by Beretta until now. Got a reason not to buy one again
I had good customer service from Weatherby, Winchester and the best from Sig Sauer
I don't follow that: When the rifle came apart, and for what reason. To much powder, Case to long, Something in the barrel. From what I can tell from here. He had was shooting the rifle, and not the first round out the tube either. So did he have a low charge powder charge in the round before and it didn't clear the barrel (Been there and done that to on a 45ACP too). A high powder charge in that round, or a long case and forced into the chamber somewhat ( you may not even know it either). It doesn't take much on the case being long to create a problem. Been there and done that. It can looked like to much powder in the case with high pressure signs. Being it's a rimfire case hard to tell. I known that one manufacture to another there can be a lot of difference between how they group to start with. The manufacture I would think would try to get to the bottom of it quickly. So I don't know what created the problem, and there a lots of possibilities .
Have to watch if there any recalls on ammo.

We are not critisizing the rifle or ammo (both factory). We don't know enough, and most of us (me included) are not experts.
We are critisizing the customer service, or lack there of, from Beretta.
 
After 10 pages of back and forth I can't believe I'm the first to mention (unless I missed a previous comment)…by the looks of the image you posted of your hand you have to have the longest fingers known to mankind! No disrespect meant, just pointing that out haha

They aren't that long. Must be the pictures. I have massive hands, but they are perfectly proportional.
 
Congrats Tikka/Beretta! You let a $300 repair issue and an easy turn around cost you dearly. American companies understand that. You clearly do not.

You're gonna learn today.

I bought my last benelli shotgun and my last burris optic because of what they're doing to this guy. Not that they care. There is NO excuse for the lack of communication. How a company behaves when their products have a problem, defines them. Sure, could be an ammo problem, but that could have been communicated very quickly and easily. If I ran tikka... I'd have replaced the rifle, no questions asked. Cost of doing business in the modern world. I've overnighted products to customers for far less of an issue.

Hecouldgoalltheway, I'd take him up on it, and have a lawyer send a very rude letter to Beretta. That's what they are expecting and waiting for. Don't disapoint them. Meanwhile, enjoy a fine rifle that most likely will be more than paid for with the settlement hush money.

Hornady is good as passing the blame as well. 1 in 6 of the 147 grain bullets I've shot fail to hit the target because they blow up. After researching threads I see that a lot of people have had the same issue and Hornady blames everything but the bullet. Not every lot does it which makes me believe they have bad runs out there. I can lobe the berger 156 bullets even faster from my 26nosler with no problem but of course it's not the Hornady bullet. That would be impossible. I wouldn't trust them either.

All these company's are too big for there britches. Even ups does it. They lost 5 boxes of 6.5prc in January for me that I insured. Do you think I can get the insurance money or a competent English speaking employee to let me know the status of the "investigation"..... naaa
 
Ok so went and dug through all my 17 ammo I had and found an old box of Hornady that I believed should have been some from when dad was still around . Fired 20 shots total and look at these 4 cases . I'm not saying that there definitely wasn't something wrong with your tikka but I believe it may have had more to do with the ammo . My marlin has never had an issue but I can guarantee I'll throw the rest of this box away

Lessons I learned from this exchange, other than what discussed about companies CS.
1. I want a rifle which in case of overpressute, would direct gasses away from shooter and away from magazine.
2. I want a strong bolt and locking system
3. Preferably a one piece bolt?
Anything else?
