Anyone running one?

What are your favorite loads? I recently had a Ruger #1 rebarreled with a 1:7.5 twist 26" Benchmark barrel.

Shot it yesterday with the 131 Ace bullets and the 128 hammers. 52 gr of 7828scc produced 3000 fps and flattened primers and some sticky ejection. Too fast of a powder I guess.

I had to start somewhere and now I know.

Going to start with 53 gr of RL33 this weekend and work up. Either bullet with decent pressure at 3000-3100 fps would make me happy.

My next build will probably be 25-06ai

currently shooting a 1:7 25-06. 110gr SBDIIs are shooting well at 3220 fps. With the BJs, retumbo, n570, and RL26 was getting me in the mid 3100's without obvious pressure. They were not accurate enough in my barrel for my needs. They all seemed to pressure out at about 3180. This was Winchester and hornady brass, necked down lapua might be better.

What are your loads with RL 26 and N570.

I can not believe IMR 7828 was too fast in my gun!!!
N570, only ladder test—60.5 gr 3182fps (very compressed). Mild pressure. Hornady brass cci 200s

retumbo pressure found at 58.9 gr 3144fps
Best accuracy was 58.6gr 3120 fps (ES 20-30, tried multiple primers, best consistent accuracy was about 1.25moa 5 shot groups)

IMR 8133 ladder test only, no pressure up to 60.5gr 3182 fps (very compressed) hornady brass CCI 200s

RL26 was most accurate powder, 1in 5 shot groups 3110 fps 55.5gr Winchester brass CCI 200s CBTO 2.674. Did not run a ladder to find pressure.

my barrel is not great and that was probably the biggest issue and wasted a lot of components tinkering with it before moving on to the SBDIIs.

There's a little left in it yet I just haven't had time to mess with it as Ive been busy with the RUM
Just finished a 25-284 had 15 90gr hammers absolute I'm up too 3733fps with 57 grs h4350 more bullets should be here today too be continued you should definitely do more the 2506 ai

Another powder that is often overlooked, and is not as bad for temp sensitivity as the interwebs makes out, is RE25.
In my custom Ruger 25-06, it is the fastest powder and very accurate, the only other powder that betters it is Retumbo, difference being about 1/32" in group size to the Retumbo load in my Sendero 25-06.
I have not yet tried a 25-06AI.
Maybe on my next barrel….

Cheers.
