Absolute Hammer load data

This may not be the correct thread for this question but with the lower bullet weight (copper vs lead) and increased velocity from the Absolutes, will barrels be burned out faster? It seems like light and fast was a thing of the past then we went to heavy and slowed down. Are we making full circle and bringing back the barrel burner loads again?

I myself....... Like um fast.....JMHO
 
I'm not sure if the extra speed is going to make much of a difference in the rifles I'll be using the absolute hammers and I'm not going to use these in my target/plinking rifles.

Every load you shoot is a barrel burner, some are just faster than others
 
Will admit I've blown through 2-3 hundred or more hammer bullets doing load work and dinking around. Hard not to play around to see especially when guys start posting crazy stuff. Like that guy with the 22 creedmoor = damit

The tikka is on its way to Montana with my son and my brother with the 160's and data , so , yes. Fun ! Neighbor shot some absolute out of his 243 with me the other day. Told him to load on the hotter side ,but nope. Not even close. Bought some for my brother 270 wsm browning , should be fun/interesting and expensive lol. Luckily about out of vacation ha ha! Cus I'm running out of primers!!
 
I wouldn't call it bs as much as a perception that might not always hold true. Probably depends on expectations. That tikka light 300 wsm kicked like a mule even with those 160's and will probably never shoot an animal past 300 yards so fine tuning wasn't really that necessary but it will be interesting ( fun?) to see how it tracks. Definitely not the rifle I'd want to be trying long shots from multiple positions lol. It's my brothers gun and a 1" group would definitely fill his needs
Thats why I commented about testing seating depth when using Hammer bullets. I new guy may load some up and get 1 inch to 1.5 groups and not be happy then give up on them due to multiple comments about immunity to seating depth which is all over the internet.

Unless shooting competitively you don't need to worry about barrel burnout. Most using hammers aren't slinging up word 3k rounds a year. They're shooting dinner. Aka 1 bullet after maybe 9-12 rounds (exp. load development) or 30+ rounds for serious load development.
The Absolute 123s hands down my new fav's after spending a few years with the 124 Hunters.

Why are you liking the 123's over the 124's? Increase in velocity?? Just curious and I know how many hogs you slay per year, so I'm wondering if you're seeing a difference in performance.
I switched to them in my Creed, too. I'm getting about 100 fps more out of the 123's than I did with the 124's

Side note this barrel has less than 100 rounds on it so it may still be trying to speed up. I will update again tomorrow.

Correction on this post I I missed a number. Fps is 3384.
