I ordered the 73gr HHs (.22 cal) and 117gr HHs (.27 cal). My newly finished .22 Creedmoor shot it's first group today - 1/2" with 78gr Barnes TSX over 40 grains of MRP in an ADG case seated .050" off the lands with Federal 210M primers. (100yds) I am expecting that same combo to yield even better results with the Hammers!. I will make more of what I shot today and compare on paper and over the chronograph maybe next weekend.
The 117gr .277 cal is for a wildcat I designed and have a pre-fit barrel made for. I call it the .270 SDC (Southern Deer Cartridge). It utilizes a Creedmoor case with a modified throat (freebore is reduced) to improve accuracy with light-for-caliber projectiles hovering around the .400 BC mark. Distance is rarely needed down here except in special (rare) circumstances, such as sitting on a powerline or pipeline right of way or on the fringe of a bean/corn/peanut field. The design is suppose to shoot flatter to 500yds than a .270 Win with standard factory hunting ammo. If more distance is needed, a 140gr Berger can be loaded, but I'll have to get creative with powders, neck tension, and seating depth to keep the muzzle velocity up. I will probably order the 124gr Hammer Hunters, also, for a bit more BC. I placed my order Thursday afternoon, they were shipped yesterday by FedEx, and will likely be here Monday evening when I get in from work. It will be interesting to see if any or how much extra velocity will be achieved by using the Hammers in both rifles. I am also considering some 260gr HHs for my 338 Edge.

I'm in the same situation here in NW Louisiana. There's only one range within a 2 hour radius that I can stretch it out to 1,000 yds and their fees are ridiculous. I ended up going 257 wby for my pipeline/beanfield rig. It shoots the 98 gr Shockhammers VERY well with a good deal of jump. First big game rifle I've owned to break 4K fps. Found accuracy @ 3,915. Crazy fast and crazy accurate.

Yes. A big boar in soy bean field about 275 yds. Shot through the shoulders, took him off his feet. Laid where he landed and wiggled, game over. Exit bout the size of a fifty cent piece. Very little bloodshot meat. WAY less than I expected. He had been neutered (probly by dog hunters) so we made sausage out of him.
Itching for deer season to get here.

Me too, I have some 121 HH's for my 257 Blackbird. It's basically a weatherby with no belt and a 30*shoulder.
New member to 4K club. Also my first rifle to break 4000. My 6.5 MAX with 85gr HH hit 4023 yesterday. Accuracy looks like its going to be mid 3900s. Much more refining to do, but looks promising. First group was .770. Now to start tinkering!

Just wait until you kill something with it then you'll understand why I get so excited
