300 Weatherby vs 30 Nosler. Factory velocities measure up?

I here rumors of another weatherby cartridge coming about. I wasn't too excited about the 6.5 rpm but I really love my 6.5-300. I think it's cool that Ed shares his dad's passion and isn't just content with the obvious success of what already exists. My only concern is if he develops another I can't live without if you know what I mean
Ed has been retired for several years. His son Adam has been at the helm for both the 6.5x300 reintroduction and the 6.5rpm.

The case capacities and ballistics of both are so close its like splitting hairs; the only real advantage I see the 30 Nosler has is the case is shorter leaving room in the magazine to adjust seating depth with long heavy bullets.

I think if they build a 22 rpm for the heavies, I'm going to have to fold and buy another rifle
I keep hoping they will make a new .22 cartridge too. That 6.5rpm case would be ideal. That or a new monster 7mm

I heard they tried to make a 7-378 but ran into problems. I think they had problems with the 6.5-300 at first and I think they had to change the rifling if my crappy memory serves correctly. To me it's an interesting time as the new bullet designs such as the absolute hammers are changing the heavy swing towards the heavy for caliber cartridges.

I have always loved the beautiful wood stocks on the classic weatherbe rifles. I shoot lefty and I want a 257 wby as my next rifle.

I'm a lefty too & I took the muley in the pic last year with my 30-year-old 300 Bee but I broke down and bought a right-handed Vanguard in 257 just b/c I couldn't pass up the price. Those have to be the two most popular calibers Roy created!

Last year I was helping some friends get a 300 weatherby my brother lended them ready for an Idaho hunt in case they ran into a longer shot. They both shoot left handed and man, I never seen anything like it. They shoot with they're free hand on the bolt and have another shell jacked in for a follow up shot so fast !! I should have video'd it. They're both in they're 60's and have hunted since they were kids and never really brag about they're success as much as how fast they can prepare an elk and get it out. Definitely on another level

Do the velocities of the factory ammo reflect reality? The Nosler site says, "The 30 Nosler eclipses the velocity of the 300 Weatherby" I'm finding that hard to believe. Marketing BS?
Is the 300 Weatherby in factory rifles inherently less accurate due to long throat...? Fact? Myth?
Why worry about the other? Stick with your own gun; no one knows your rifle-load reality better than you.

All I want to know is which factory loads are more indicative of reality. I'm trying to decide between the two and will be using factory ammo for a while. "My own gun" is what I'm determining.

I'm leaning towards the 300 Weatherby. Opinions on the Vanguard series? High Country, Hush or worth it to spend a bit more for the MK V Weathermark?
Another lefty here shooting right handed bolts. o_O

Factory ammunition test rifle might be different than yours, i.e., barrel length, twist, groove, etc., so the reality is how well the factory ammunition shoots out of your rifle. You are at the mercy of how well a factory will shoot out of your rifle. Different lot numbers of ammo will shoot differently, too. Here are a prime example, same ammo, different lot numbers. This is factory ammo Winchester 125 deer season XP at 200 hards out of a factory TC compass 6.5 CM.

I've only owned vanguards and have never had or seen one that doesn't shoot better than 1 moa with weatherby premium in what they test fire. I've heard on the internet of ones that won't and I'm sure it happens. Usually it's a bedding issue but sometimes I wonder if it's adjusting to the weatherby recoil or bad shooting practices. I would love to be able to afford one of the fancier mark v's
