Opinions on Rangefinding Binos

I have the Sig Saur BDX 3000. I love them. I have used them on my 280 AI, &mm WSM, 6.5 x 280 AI, 22 x 243 AI with lots of success. Whe I hunt for 10 days at a time, I always take 2 extra batteries with me. I like the glass and the ability to sinc my rifle to my scope. I have hunted all over Africa, Mexico and South Texas w/no issues.
Not legal in a lot of states, for example Idaho. Illuminated reticle is ok but no other electronic device. It's good to hear you haven't had any issues but after having 4 sig kilo 2400's I'm not a fan of sig.

Lots of states are illegal on this matter.. amazed that more people don't realize this!! its actually funny that the scope from GW is illegal in almost every state I hunt in!!

Vortex Fury 5000 are still holding up very well for me. My biggest thing with rangefinders was temperature. Every time in freezing temps the Leica's I had would only range 350 yds. Might have just been a one time thing but I took them back immediately. Glass is pretty decent as well, nothing like my 12x50 Swaros but for the price point I like them a lot and they are very accurate on range. If I did it all over again I would do the swaro range finders.

I had the same issue with Sig 2000. It was only 30°, and all I could get was 400 yards.

For the guys with the Leica 3200's what are you running for chest pack?
I have the leica 3200.com's and they are simply the best rf/bino combo made!! i ran mine in the large kuiu pro last fall and im trying the new marsupial rig this year .. the kuiu was great i just like trying new gear

I've been running the same middle of the road binos and a 2005 model range finder for a long while now and I'm thinking seriously about upgrading. I'm considering the swarovski range finding binos. My question is, are they that much better than any other range finding binoculars? What others are there out there that compare? What are your recommendations?
I have been using the Sig Sauer BDX 3000 binos. I have taken them to Africa, my ranch in Mexico and Texas for the past 3 years. They work great as rangefinders, binos and if you want a shooting solution tied to your iphone. No issues and great glass.

I had all of my stuff stolen recently (was insured, anyone that doesn't have Eastern Insurance firearm insurance get it immediately. Very reasonable pricing and they covered literally everything I had. I am not affiliated with them just a very happy customer). But that put me in a position to think out and buy exactly what I wanted. Here is what I decided on. Manufacturers usually only give a short warranty on electronics in rangefinders and rangefinders in general are still progressing pretty quickly. Straight bino's on the other hand don't progress a whole lot. I didn't want to go for a $3k+ pair of Swaro EL ranges or Leica 3200.com's only to have electronics die after warranty or be replaced in a year or 2 with a new model with AB on board or something. So I went for 10x42 EL's and a Leica 3500.com for basically the same price as EL ranges or 3200.com's. The binos I doubt will ever need to be replaced, glass doesn't "go bad". At least not replaced any time soon. The rangefinder I can replace later on down the road if they release one with full AB on board or something else that is worth upgrading for without having to spend the $3k+ on premium range finding bino's.

Then I also snagged a pair of the new vortex fury with ab to use shooting steel, out riding around at the deer camp on the side by side to shoot hogs and coyotes, and I'd also like to shoot some NRL hunter matches in the future and they should be pretty good for those matches also. I haven't used them much yet as they just came in. But I am impressed so far. Also given their full lifetime warranty on glass and electronics they are perfect to throw around in the truck and side by side.
