Thread size for brake .950” muzzle?

G'day folks,
I am buying a Terminator brake, or three, to go on my 264WM with .950" muzzle diameter and it will also have a EC Tuner fitted.
Now I read that the EC Tuner doesn't have big threads, I think it was 1/2"-28 where it threads onto the barrel, but do not know what thread it has to attach a brake.
Have emailed Eric Cortina, but have had no reply in over a week now.
Greg at Terminator brakes said I would need a 9/16"-28 or larger to suit the T3 brake.
What have you guys done? Have you made the brake and tuner work with different sized threads or have you utilised the same diameters?

Cheers.

Have you checked out these tuners. They screw right on to the same threads as you brake does. Looks like a 3/4 or 5/8 24 tpi model work work fine with your .950 diameter muzzle.

Unfortunately, being in Australia, I am limited to where I can buy from. US is out, but can buy direct from New Zealand, so that is my only option really.
Thanks for the reply though.

Cheers.

I'm not sure I would even take that step personally, having to put a 1/2x28 threads on a .264 diameter muzzle with a magnum chamber doesn't seem like the best idea for a precision rifle.

May or may not have an effect, but to me it seems like a trade off of a belled out muzzle would offset any gain from a muzzle tuner in the accuracy department. I prefer at least 5/8x24 for up to .264, and 3/4 for anything bigger if possible. It will all vary on muzzle pressures from different loads, some may work fine without issues, others you may get an expanded muzzle. And the effect on accuracy, I don't know, I haven't personally tested it. Might do very little, might do a lot. Just something to consider if your only option is to go down to a 1/2" thread diameter.

EC's new tuner brake is threaded for 5/8-24".

These are my thoughts exactly.
I spoke with Greg at Terminator, he recommended the 5/8" as minimum. I suggested 3/4" due to the muzzle diameter.
I can easily adapt to a larger thread, as even a 5/8" I am dubious.
The brake itself is quite large and heavy, so with brake and tuner, it will be even worse.
Still waiting for Eric Cortina to get back to me.

Cheers.
