New stock for new rig

Nice and the improvements continue . Does the cheek riser seem slick or does it not let you slip on it ? I tend to like the blackhawk pistol grip that is rubberized .
It is textured but not what I would consider grippy. There is a product that can be applied called plasti-coat that is a spray on rubberizing paint. I've not used it on a stuck before but have other applications. Seems durable. I generally use a spray on texture when painting tradfitional stocks and clear coat it with matte cerakote after the main finish has cured.

chassis are just out for me on a coyote rig. 90% of my coyote hunting is done in temps floating between 0 and -25 with wind chills. I've tried my krg whiskey 3 with polymer grips, the mpa ba comp with the soft cheek piece (stays warm) and there grip isn't terrible but the entire thing is freezing and it's just miserable after a while. I'd much rather a stock on my coyote rifle.

something like my moose rifle or deer is different. I hunt in temps from + 20 degrees to -15 degrees, but mainly float around the -3 to + 8 so it's not so bad
Gotcha. I can understand. My grips are rubberized on my mdt chassis rifles. I would not want a slick cold grip for any reason or season. I can rest my hand on the pistol grip vs gripping it and my hand stays where it needs to.

I have 4 PRS2 and 4 EH1 (and an EH1A). Can't go wrong with either.
Which do you prefer and why?

I have an eh5a, had a t5, have a prs1t, and only quickly handled an eh1a but never got to shoot it. Do you have a preference between the two mainly for a hunting rig? I'm a huge fan of my prs1

Depends on usage. If you don't mind the extra 1# for the adjustable cheek, the PRS2 is an amazing stock. Very comfortable, flat bottom fore end for bipods or bags. With or without mini chassis for DBM. Can be ordered with no mini chassis for M5 DBM or BDL (R700 or Oberndorf) too. I have 2 with mini chassis to run Accurate mags, one with pillars and M5 DBM for mags, and one with pilars for R700 BDL.

EH1 is a pound lighter without an adjustable cheek piece. You can add an ultralight cheek piece that is a thin CF form, with plastic spacers that weighs 3oz instead of 16oz. Same vertical grip, slightly rounded fore arm, and straight comb with almost no drop to get your head up higher. Same options for bottom metal as the PRS2. I have one with a mini chassis and Accurate mags, one with pillars and M5 DBM w. Mags, and two with pillars and BDL (one R700 and one Oberndorf). I have another one on order now for a new build I am working on. Pillars and M5 DBM.

fair enough. This would be ordered with mini chassis and run ai mags. Rifle is being chambered in 20 tactical for the sole purpose of coyote hunting. 90% + of the time it's ran off a bipod or tripod, making me think the prs2 might be the better option. Slightly more stable and adjustable at that weight but I keep hearing how the eh1/eh1a is such a great hunting stock

Clearly a fine stock, but as a former Army sniper I can tell you that they never asked us what stocks we wanted. That stuff is done on a bid system with a bunch of officers and civilians who have never done the job making the decisions.

Ask any sniper current or former about the dumpster fire that is the m110.
Apparently not the selection procedures for the new Barrett MK22 ASR MRAD for SOCOM. Retired Special Forces Sniper Kevin Owens was part of the selection/evaluation team.

It is very interesting at how stocks have evolved in just a few years time ! Not only do they look good they feel good as well and do a fine job of holding the barreled action solid with out shifting do to weather changes .
