Does the Creedmoor really need more??? I don't think so!

Here is 45.8. 6 Creedmoor with 45.8 Staball and 88 GR HH. Stopping here as almost compressed from where I need to seat for my chamber. Great accuracy for both 45.5 and 45.8. Under 1/2 MOA at 100 for both. Going to tune this some more and it's going Antelope hunting this September.

I recognize that range, you must be shooting off bench 25 or 26.

With the results I've gotten so far I'll pay a dollar apiece all day every day. Folks don't understand til they experience it for themselves. When you see a boar hog just shy of 300 lbs fold up like you hit him with a sledge and its a 98 gr bullet you put behind his shoulder it's impressive to say the least. Can't wait for this upcoming deer season.
@dougduey kept telling me about hammers for over a year and I was reluctant, Now if I load anything else I feel like I'm cheating on my wife

I'm looking at all the bullets on my shelf and I'm torn whether to keep em for really lean times or trade em/sell em. I only have a couple of rifles left that are'nt shooting hammers yet, and I'm workin on it.

Totally agree

I never said you couldn't use it for elk. I only said I use my 6.5 Creed for "deer size critters". I have all 3 cartridges you mention but I primarily run the 140 Berger's out of my 6.5-284. I have not changed that load in over 10 years and have no intention at the moment. If I do I'll run the heaviest Hammer Hunter I can which is the 123 and it will be a grass burner for sure. I have a older Savage 116, 6.5-284 Weather Warrior, and I'm pretty sure it's a 8 twist but it's a tack driver with the 140 Berger's. Anyways....cheers
Prolly will never buy the 65prc but I have wanted the 65-284 for a long time. The main reason I probably won't shoot an elk with my six5creed is I built it too dang heavy to carry all the way up there to 10,500ft where the elk are in the early season. I did get a Tika lightweight hunter with the fluted stainless barrel in 7remmag. If I were to build a creed for up there it would have to be a 24" or 26" barrel. I like being able to shoot Barnes 127LRX at 2960.

Avoid divorce, it left me with no loading bench, a of rifles short to burn bullets in. Maybe shooting and hunting equate to side chicks whatever you do.

My house sold, but I had shelves starting to rebel over bullets I ended up with in trades, and projects in various stages of completion. I've gave some away, sold others, but the Hammers are so trouble free it's where I start, especially if barrel life is short.

Anyone try the 85 in a Grendel yet? I have the 99 HH and 97 AH to try with H4198. Haven't had the time to test either, so debating adding the 85 to the mix on a 16" upper. Any input would be appreciated. Uses will be hogs, deer and audad.
Got my HH 85's today and going to load up some test loads for my 6.5 Grendel bolt gun. This will be interesting to see what it'll do. Thinking of trying accurate 2460 and Reloader 10X. @ButterBean @RockyMtnMT any thoughts on powders?
