I am hoping to start practicing out to 500 yards this summer. I also love bow hunting and know that practicing at longer ranges greatly improve short range accuracy

Welcome from Eastern Oklahoma. Are you reloading, yet? If not, it will give you something enjoyable to do between seasons. Unfortunately, in the States at least, the equipment and supplies are scarce at present. I started reloading nearly 40 years ago because ammo for my two Weatherby Mags was so expensive. But over the past 4 years I've acquired the additional tools to load for precision and consistency, mainly learning from the folks on this forum. Beware: IT'S AN ADDICTION!

I have all the equipment to reload. I just need to pick up a set of dies. Recommendations? The components are pretty scarce here too for the 6.5 prc. I bought mine about a month ago and still haven't shot it. There are no bullets, brass or powder anywhere. I did finally find some Nosler brass in Quebec. I had two boxes in my cart and by the time I paid, there was only one box available. So at least I've got 50 brass. I did find some Gunwerx ammo, but it was going to be $140/box. I know they have good brass, but that's just to much for me

It sounds like you may have bought your 6.5 PRC from Gunwerks, which I also did a year ago. In order to squeeze the max accuracy from it, I would rec you spend a little extra up front on your die set and buy them with a micrometer on the seating die so you can precisely adjust depth of the bullets to the nearest .001". I'm very happy with my RCBS dies with the micrometer

My fishing buddies and I enjoy an annual fishing (mostly pike and walleye) trip in SK before COVID. I hope to hunt your great province someday, esp. black bears.

We always take a bear tag moose hunting. I'd hate to have to leave one laying if we needed to shoot it in camp. Plus I'd like to try eating one some day. I heard they are tasty if they haven't been eating out of a dump
