I am falling apart ...

I had a carpal nerve release and cubital nerve release surgery on my left-hand yesterday. It went well and managing pain/recovery well.

Next week, I have my initial consult with a neuro-surgeon due to a pinched nerve on my neck. Depending on the outcome, I am also inline for a right shoulder rotary cuff surgery. Other than that, all is well. 😇

Cheers!

Ed
Good luck with everything! I have 4 fused vertebrae in my neck and 7 in my back (thank you VA for destroying my T12 vertebrae with your botched surgery). I now internally own over 1,100 pieces of titanium total. Good news...I still can comfortably shoot my 300 RUM although it took some determination at first.

Look on the bright side you're able to post on this forum so the ticker is still a tickin!!! I've been putting off carpal tunnel surgery for years now, I don't like getting cut, hospitals, the thought of being out of it, or infection possibilities, but it would be nice to have untingling fingers especially that trigger finger!

Ed, maybe we can get better pricing on bulk repairs? I see neuro surgeon Wed for neck stenosis flaring up numbness in feet and hands. Put off surgery years ago since it got better but now constant. Scheduling epidural shot this week for lumbar for stenosis there. On bright side shoulder coming along fine. Road just gets rockier the older we get. Friends and family help us through. Give me shout to chew cud if I can help you forget what hurts🤣.! Probably help me too!!

LOL! I appreciate that, Craig. My neuro-surgeon appointment for my neck for a possible pinched nerve said no action is required at the moment. I hope yours goes well, Brother. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am actually not too worried about what hurts, and I am more concerned if I have enough rehab time to go all out during fall rifle season without re-injuring it. 🤣

Rehabilitation is your friend! The therapist is an evil *****, princes.

Give it all the time the doc says to heal, trust me on this one! Scare on scare is kinda like two black eyes= You should have listened the first time🤔
Getting old is inevitable, denieing it dont help! Nobody gets out of life alive, the trick is to live as much as you should.....
Am convinced the only reason I'm alive is that heaven dont want me and the devils afraid I'll take over.

3. I have had a recurring bloody nose that, when it bleeds it takes 45 minutes to an hour to stop—a very nasty and gross blood flow, mainly on the right. Have a referral to see ENT.

Ahhh, the golden years ...

I often get nose bleeds due to allergies and sinus issues, I've had them all my life so here are a couple if tips while you get that looked at.

Usually applying pressure with my fingers will work, but on occasions that wont stop it at all.

For these cases I was recommended by an old otorhinolaryngologist of mine to get a cotton ball and wet it with vinegar and push it all the way up the nostril. This stops the bleeding pretty well, it might take 3 to 5 cotton balls to get it done.

He also advised me that once the bleeding stops I wet a tissue and gently clean the blood inside the nostril as much as possible. After that with a cotton swab I apply some Neosporin or antibiotic ointment, this lubricates, moistirizes, and cauterizes and seals the blood vessel. The neosporin you'll need to apply it twice daily, once in the morning and again at night for 5 to 7 days in a row.

This will stop my nose bleeds for about 3 to 4 months. And when they start again I do this process all over again.

My godson had nose bleeds similar to yours, 30 to 45 minutes ones and the vinegar and neosporin has really helped him.

Stay safe and god bless.

I happily schedule an epidural every 3 months or so for the last several years. Trying to hold out as long as possible on the next three level fusion as that will give me 10-in-a-row with four more in my neck...not so good for bending, or much else really! Hang in there guys! I was able to fight both swordfish and alligators with a broken back (4 broken vertebrae) that healed improperly because the military and the VA told me it was muscle spasms! Just remember you can do anything you put your mind to!
