I apologize if the isn't the right place for this. Feel free to point me in a direction. I've looked at several threads with 300 PRC loads, but not finding anything that quite matches what I have on hand. I am looking to develop a good long range (for me) steel and elk round in the 500-1000 yard range. I have Lapua brass, 215M primers, and the following projectiles and powders:

Hammer Hunter 214's
VLD 210's
ELD-X 212's

Retumbo
H1000
Ramshot Magnum
N570
IMR 8133

I'm particularly interested in trying the Hammers, but would be happy with anything that flies straight and delivers energy down range. I saw some load info from Hammber, but nothing in this caliber with the 214's.

Anyone know of good recipes with those ingredients? Thanks in advance for any and all input. I'm a newb here and this is my first post. The knowledge shared on this forum is incredible! Thanks again.

I've got a decent load started with a Berger 205 Elite Hunter and 78gr. of IMR 8133. Just under 3/4" 3-shot at 100yds. As always - don't use my load - start lower and work up.
***I know nothing about the Hammers other than to say - do not use loads for another like weight bullet for them - call Hammer if no one else here has info on them for you***

Thanks wasskeet. I was/am planning to ask Hammer for their thoughts too. I have yet to try the 8133, but that is good to know. I might start closer to 75 gr. The only hand load I've tried thus far is 77.2 gr H1000 with 210 VLD's and was getting 3/4", but haven't tried it at further distance, yet.

If you've got H1000 and N570 in particular - you should be able to put together a good load with one of those based upon others here. I have neither of those, but do have RL26. It is faster, just not as accurate. Got some loads now with varying seating depths per Berger VLD advice - hope to try them next week.

There's a bunch of threads on loading Hammer bullets. I was reading one last night where Butterbean suggested treating them as a lighter bullet, depending on whether you have Hammer Hunters or Absolute will depend how much lighter. I would suggest searching the forums for Hammer bullets and/or look for post by Butterbean (?) hopefully that's the correct user ID

I have had good luck with the 212 ELDX running 77.5 Grains of Retumbo running right around 2800 fps.

You are going to have to work up a load for any of the bullets.

Since they are the same weight you can start in the same place. You are correct in your H1000 load with the berger 210 around 77 gr.

Do a pressure test on each bullet. I would do 1 grain increments from 75 to 80 range with H1000. [Or similar range for each powder. ]

From what I've seen 77-78 grains of H1000 is money in 210-215 bullet range.

The hammers at the high weight might allow you to go an extra grain or two... maybe not.

Go do pressure test until you get consistent ejector marks. Then back off a grain or two.

I'm shooting 199 hammers with RL26.

what is your rifle, barrel, twist, length?

big fan of n570 in 300 prc with 215 Berger's.

All good info. Thank you! It's a CA ELR with a 26" 1:8 twist

Thanks! Yeah, I think I've seen some of his posts. I'll check it out. And I think Steve is who I corresponded with at Hammer and he's also on here.
