Anyone using PVA Cayuga bullets?

How have you found the Cayuga projos relative to the Badlands Gen II for pressuring up? I run the 7mm 150 Badlands Gen 2's at 3,711 fps. Could I expect the Cayuga 151's come out about the same?
From what I have found, the Cayuga's are more similar to a standard lead core bullet, I have actually got some pretty stellar velocities prior to pressure signs. However, I have only loaded two kinds so far.

No, not willing to go anywhere near a product connected to Josh/PVA. he's great with hype, not so great on delivering. I developed an approach of taking the full view of a product including the company behind it and PVA's consistent anti-customer behavior shows me they over-promise and under-deliver then blame someone else. It doesn't give any any confidence in them supporting any of their products.
Sorry to hear that, but my experience with PVA has been all positive. 3 out of the 4 times I placed my order, it was processed and delivered as advertised. The other was because the option I needed was not available at the time, but I was given an estimate of when it will be available again. The availability was actually earlier than originally projected, and the item is now en route to me.

I would agree, I text Josh personally any time I have a question, and he is great to respond and communicate with. I have only bc tested one bullet, and it was spot on. Plan on testing the heavier 7mm, soon as my wife's rifle is finished. Terminal performance test has only been one animal, so very limited, and it was close range, but no complaints so far. More terminal performance reviews will tell a better story this fall....

Yeah, he has been very accomodating and quick to respond. His customer service orientation rendered to me thus has been exemplary.

Looking forward to your tests/reviews. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. So based on your experience so far with both, can you give me a good guess on velocity gains I could expect with the Cayuga vs the BD2's of similar weight? I got a bunch of BD2's and trying to decide if it'd be worth my time to play with the Cayuga's.

I don't know if I could give a fair apples to apples yet, I have not shot both in the same gun yet. I am about to load some 140 SBDII's in a 270 Sherman that I also loaded the 127 cayuga in, not the best comparison as there is significant weight difference, but should give a general idea.

Great. Be much interested in what you find. Thanks!

Got a couple goats down.

First one, 260 yards, both of these are with the 7mm 151 PVA Cayuga, muzzle velocity of 3390 fps.

Goat dumped in place.

Next one was my nephews, first big game animal. 480 yards, he hit a little bit back as you can see, the doe was bedded down, never got up. Hit the back of the lungs and liver. About a 2" exit, the side you can see.

Hopefully will have some results tomorrow from my wife's rifle, 170 Cayuga out of a 7 max, a little over 2900 fps muzzle velocity

I've tested the 122gr 6.5 cayugas out of my 6.5 creedmoor and my 6.5 SAUM and they were super easy to tune. Haven't had a chance to put any rounds on game yet. Just been super busy.

I've been a customer with PVA for a really long time. Have never had an issue with either customer service or their products. I think I can remember one time there was a mix up on a barrel order, and honestly it was my fault. They still made it right even when it was my screw up. No complaints here either.

More results -

7mm 151 Cayuga - 3390 muzzle velocity

Doe pronghorn, 553 yards
Impact velocity - 2686 fps
Broadside, hit slightly back, still in lungs

Doe ran about 40 yards after hit, blood running out exit side, and fell over. From impact until animal on the ground, under 10 seconds.

Entrance side hair on - no observable entrance

Exit side hair on, about 1"

Entrance hair off

Exit hair off

Exit internal, notice the 4 exits radiating outward from the air exit

Entrance internal - close, but no bone was hit

One of the small copper fragments recovered, under skin, after passing through a rib.

I watched the trace as the bullet impacted, called a good hit, told him to stay on her, by the time he was reloaded she was slowing down, trotted to a stop, and tipped over. The impact had some fragments that opened up the diaphragm and a small portion of the stomach, and collapsed the lungs quickly, from impact until doe was on the ground, as stated, was under 10 seconds. Not a massive exit, but multiple wound cavities and exits from the nose petals.

I found the 151s liked that 3390-3400fps area, as well as down around 3300-3310 in my 7max, they shot really well at 3400 but it was giving heavy ejector marks.
This is a 24" supressed 7 mag using ADG brass, I am using Reloder 26. Kind of blown away at the velocity, but pressure signs didn't show up until a good bit higher up....
