They do make a 6.5 PRC Crimp die if you can make that one work. I just got one in the pacesetter kit. If that 65 PRC crimp die would work you could order a Pacesetter set and then sell the sizer and seater very easily.

Shot under 3/8 moa first 4 shots. Then did a 3 shot speed test with Magnetospeed and 3170 FPS. Very impressed to say the least.

Nice looking stick and you can't argue about those results.
If you want to have some fun, try the 109 gr Absolute. I'm running it at 3511 fps in my 6.5-284 Norma. I set this up for pronghorn this fall.

Thanks. This will be used on a AZ unit 10 Antelope hunt. Still going to work on it some more. I know I'm close but going to try and squeeze a bit more from it.

Not sure what you've got to work on with an ES of 2 and SD of 1.0. As my good friend ButterBean would say,"let her eat"!!

Barrel only has 79 rounds down it. I imagine things will change a little. That was virgin brass also so I'll just need to keep my eye on it and maybe try and push some speed from it.

I've got virgin brass and fireformed brass loads for each of my rifles. Never know when you may need one or the other.
Either way, you've got a great load now. You may want to call it good unless you like to tinker (that's how I am). Give us updates as you move forward

Will do and yeah I've got another 100 pieces of ADG on top of the 100 I've started fire forming. Thanks to Butterbean for the guidance.

Well, I finally had a chance to play with my new 6.5 MAX again today. Got a good load for the 129 Absolute and worked up another for the123 Absolute.
I have a neck crimp die ordered and it looks like it will take some crimping/experimentation to get it to shoot to my expectations. The rifle still will not group consistently. I'm looking for 0.5"moa every time, or better.
Anyway, on to the data: I'll post this in the spreadsheet shortly.

129 gr Absolute, 26" Brux 1:7.5, Tikka T3x action
68.2 gr RL 26, F 210, 3.020 OAL
3451, SD 5, ES 11
.676 group (sometimes)

123 gr Absolute, 26" Brux 1:7.5, Tikka T3x action
69.5 gr RL 26, F 210, 2.978 OAL

got to 70.5grs, 3609, but got some bolt lift and backed off

Primer pockets seem to be lasting about 4 loads with the higher end charges for the 123s.

Has anyone tried 300 Weatherby with the 178gr AH? I don't see it in the Post 2 load data or in the thread.

The "traditional" powder for the 300 Wby with a 180gr bullet is IMR 7828SSC. I'm wondering how much faster to move on the powder chart.

Also, after scanning pages, is every one crimping, or just some cartridges? I'm not sure there is a 300 Wby crimp die commonly available, and in the 6 sets of dies I own I sure don't have one.

All of your seating dies likely have a built in crimping feature. Lee offers a factory crimp die for your .300 Wby.
