I have some 124 hammer hunters I bought to try in my 26 nosler. Haven't had a chance to load them. But now I recently bought a 6.5 creed. Anyone use these or the 99gr hammers in the creedmoor? How did it work out for you? Thanks.

Here is my 6.5x47. Not fast but who cares

We use Varget as our go to for the creed and the 124's. Start at 38g and work up from there. We generally finish out about 40g and about 3000 fps.
Thanks Steve.

I've read Tikka barrels are slower, and that is likely just the case here. I average just a touch over 2900 with 41 grains of Varget, without really seeing signs of pressure, then again I'm fairly new to reloading so I'm not going to push it any higher.

39.6 Varget is a warm load in my 26" Browning rifle. Velocity was 2,905 ft/sec. 40gr resulted in a stiff bolt lift. I use Lapua SRP cases.

RE26 will get a bit more velocity with less pressure IMO.
In my initial testing of charges, my gun had a nice flat spot right at 39.6 with an average of 2,840 FPS. I'm going to load some rounds up for groups at that charge and see what I get.

I went out today and had 4 different seating depths tested at 40.7 gr, all were sub MOA at 200, but some opened up a bit at 300. I feel like I could achieve better. I'm enjoying the process.
