Berger OTM Tactical .264 130 grain Hunting

All one and done. The only animal to take a single step was my pronghorn as it was on a 50mph mad dash.

My load data will be different, as my daughter's rifle is chambered in 6.5SLR. .260 Rem w. 6.5x47L neck & shoulder.
But:
R-P .243 Win brass formed to 6.5SLR
Fed GM210M LRM
H4350
130 OTM @ .047" jump
2925fps

Accuracy is insane. Normally, 3 shots into high .1s. .2s occasionally. Single digit ES. With decent conditions, I have gone 10 for 10 on an 10" steel at 1386. Taken it to 1771, but it drops off really quick at that distance. Used it on coyotes to 1181. But we limit it to 800-900 for deer/pronghorn depending on conditions, to retain 1800fps & 1000ft/lbs.

That's amazing! The OTM do great out of my Tikka T3x.

I can solidly second this bullet and will strongly suggest that it may be the best 6.5 bullet for use in nine twist barrels, the 130 Berger AR hybrid OTM has become my favorite. I've used it in 6.5 Grendel, 6.5/06, and 264 win mag nine twist rifles to excellent effect. Load development has never been easier across those three rifles I've tried it in. Even at 2,400 fps from the Grendel it has performed flawlessly on game. I've limited hunting shots to 400 yards with that cartridge, all one shot with very little tracking. It has accounted for four white tail deer and three feral hogs, so far from that Grendel AR. I have banged steel with admirable consistency out to 1,100 yards with it from the Grendel. From the 6.5/06 (3,025fps) and 264win (3,375fps) it has proven to be equally outstanding and stupid easy to develop a load for. It also acquitted itself very well in the 8 twist barrels I've tried it in. I did see a small drop in accuracy from the only 7 twist barrel I tried it in.
On second thought, they just plain suck. Don't bother messing with them. If you have any, just send them to me and I'll dispose of them for you properly.

I've found a couple sub .5 MOA loads with the 130 OTM but my Tikka has a slow barrel. It drops below 1,000 fpe at 500 yards and stays at 1800 FPS till 575 yards. Should that be enough killing power for smallish whitetails out to 600?

At the risk of starting a dumpster fire. Personally, I limit my hunting range to wherever the energy is 1,000 ft-lb. for whitetail deer. Some folks say where velocity is 1,800 fps, I can go along with that as well. If I have the desire to hunt further, I just bring a bigger stick.

At the range now and the Berger OTM 130 is the bees knees for accuracy out to 500.I
It sure works excellent in every 6.5 I've sent them with. The critters just plain wilt and hate on them, but there hasn't been much need to track anything I've sent it to. Per usual make sure the tip is open and there isn't anything inside the hollow area at the nose and they will perform flawlessly. A thin paper clip wire bent straight or something else about 0.035" works well. A guy can use a 0.040" wire drill. It makes it open up MUCH more dramatically, but likely won't make it far enough to leave an exit wound. I like to leave the meplat diameter alone and usually get a 1-1/2" permanent exit wound on white tails.
