Looking for some new brass for my .300 Win Mag - I am newer to reloading and do not have any experience with either of these.

I know Lapua is starting to produce some .300 Win Mag brass at "some point in Q2". So who knows when that will be and even with that, when you will be able to find it.

Question is, is it worth waiting to try and get some Lapua or should I go with some Norma brass which is in stock locally? Is there really much performance difference in the two?

Norma is good stuff. If you can find it, ADG and Peterson are really good as well. It's hard to say when Lapua will actually be in stock. Lapua makes great brass, but the other mentioned brands are as good or dang close and usually more available.
Haven't seen ADG or Peterson - just Norma so far - I think it was $115 for 100 locally- which seeks reasonable for good brass

That's a very good price. I've used Norma in multiple cartridges and I have no complaints. I've been able to meet or exceed published velocities with it and still get excellent case life.

Jump on that Norma, outstanding price. The Lapua 300 WM brass will be extremely difficult to find for a long time. I saw Nosler 300 WM at Midway for $120/50 shipped a month or so back. Found some Nosler for my 300 WM at a small gun shop for a very reasonable price. Good luck
