i'm going to do my own reloading an decided to use the hornady 162 eld-x bullet. does anyone have an idea witch powder will be a good match . any help will be appreciated

Ramshot Magnum, when you can get it, for that bullet weight class.

Also, watch velocities with the ELDX in 28 Nosler?! The 175 ELDX in my 28N vaporized, with the previous 1/9 twist 26" @3150+fps but, the 180ELDM's didn't, so they were a no go.

I switched to a 1/8 27" and just run 195 Berger EOL' now.

thanks i have h1000 will try that do you know of any place to get a starting point my hornady manual doesnt have 28 nosler

this

i'll try an use all the same brass shoule i stay away from any brand
Nosler, Hornady, Peterson?

Of these, Nosler is the weak link and will not let the 28 Nosler perform to the maximum potential and be able to reload the case again, basically a one and done case at velocities over 3100fps. I know, a brand new unfired box of 25, done, in one range session, primers pockets expanded!

Got a hold of a couple hundred new Hornady and the only issue was that, they weren't annealed nearly enough from the factory. Easy fix, into the annealer they went, excellent performance and still reloadable.

Peterson, personal favorite, perfect brass for the 28 Nosler! The 100pcs I have, should last this new barrel' life cycle.

28 Nosler ain't a NRL/PRS caliber.
