Price Gougers

I could be wrong, but I think the biggest issue that most people here have with charging inflated prices is that they just don't want it on this site. On an auction site products are going to go for as much as people are willing to spend, but this site has always been very focused on helping one another. I expect to be raked over the coals on Gunbroker or Ebay and several other gun forums, but I would never expect that here. Still, I think most of the dealings on here are honest and fair and I would hate to see this resource be lost due to the actions of a few, either by the gougers or the people calling them out.

Most of us have already bought our ticket to hell. Times like this you can further solidify your spot or try to sell that ticket back. I am new to long range shooting and I was referred here to pick up some items I need that guys might have laying around not using and to get help when I needed. I admire the brave for taking a stand against the worst nature of man. Mile High Salute...Mr. Butterbean!

It hurt to watch a 78 year old gentleman on here be taken advantage of just this week by some longtime members. It was hard to watch and read. To me its about as close to stealing as you can get. There are laws that protect certain populations of people. Never thought I would see this here. We have to police our own too.

Are you referring to the post by "ChristianFirst" with bullets, powders and primers that has since been removed? or a different thread?

No this was another shady fella but you gotta love the christianfirst thread

I got to know @christianfirst personally over the last few days (via phone) ... his name is Ron Sabo - former (very successful) competitive long range pistol shooter and author with a published book on long range pistol shooting.

He is an incredible man in his twilight and we will lose a great deal of knowledge and caring when he crosses over ...

He was able to help me supply 4 new reloaders as well as my 81 year old dad with enough components to fill their gaps and keep them all shooting for the next several months to a year.

I hope he sees this ... while he won't let that other thread and what transpired there depress him, I know that thread was painful for him.

Seems like most of you are angry because you got outsmarted? Others stocked up and you didn't now they are reaping the rewards.
Quit trashing others and spend your time on productive things!
Along with your self-proclaimed economic prowess and obvious lack of consideration for others, you can add being unbelievably obtuse to you list of accolades.

Greed sometimes backfires. Recently a bunch of hedge fund billionaires decided they could make a killing by shorting GameStop out of existence. An influencer on reddit noticed and followers bought shares and 'squeezed' the shorts - who were forced to buy at any price until it reached something like $300/share. So the hedge fund punks lost something like $20 billion dollars.
Unlike GameStop that would have been SOL, the spoilt billionaires got legislators they own to hold a bunch of hearings.
One thing is for certain, we must remember going forward just exactly what enormous monopoly put the screws to us and buy elsewhere.

I live very near one of the largest gun shops in PA and in the USA. A store I have visited very regularly over the last 60+ years....I visited yesterday and was absolutely shocked, not one primer by anyone, not a single can of powder and only a few odd ball bullets....in a million years I would have never thought that was possible... and even the die section was whipped out..my question is "who do I blame this on"... and " why do we fall for the same rhetoric ever time"... I still can't believe this shop was as bare a "Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard".. why do we do this to ourselves.....

Stupidity is all I can come up with

I was at gun show in FT.Worth saturday. Crazy prices on everything including guns. a $4 box of 22LR $35, 243 $18 box of power point $55-72. I'm not shooting and just holding on to what I got and praying this gets better.
