Greetings,

Looking to see what other folks are getting.

So far here is what I have. Getting about 2785 FPS.

27" Carbon Six/McGowan barrel, standard chamber.
83.5gr N570
ADG cases
Fed 215mag
A little over .100" off lands (don't have book in front of me). Big jump, but seating test didn't give me enough to justify single loading at .020" off. May revisit as barrel appears to be speeding up now with a little over a hundred rounds on it.

Interested in your findings.

1-8 twist.

Sitting here at the range working a little and 85gr may be a little better. Not thrilled with any of them. All about MOA or so. Pretty light rifle putting quite a big pill out.

I'm using them in a 300 prc also. N570 was only producing groups around 5/8-3/4. I wasn't happy with that and switched to H1000 and they started stacking them on top of each other. Velocity out of a 29" barrel was 2970 fps.

My groups are descent, but I cannot load any higher than these low end charges as I am seeing pressure signs. My velocities are close to what Berger gave me on the higher end, so I guess I should be happy. Seeing the speeds you are getting would be nice and definitely make it viable in the cartridge.

May just stick with the 215.

Is this velocity with H1000 or N570? I haven't tried H1000 as I was afraid lack of case fill might be an issue.

I had some issues copper fouling my barrel with these, I don't know if the fast twist has anything to do with it. But the 245s copper fouled my barrel until I had really broken the barrel in. Over 300 rounds, then they calmed down.

Mine cleaned up really easy, right from the start.

Used break in to do a little velocity testing with the magneeto speed. Only about ten rounds cleaning in between three shots.
sped up about 100 rounds down the tube, picked up about 50 fps.

What are your current velocities with the 245 EOL and the 27" barrel?
I have a 300 RUM with a 27" Rem/Varm contour steel barrel that I have been shooting the 215 Hybrids. I am looking to start load development on with the 245's. I have VV N570 and H1000 to work with, my current max COAL is 3.825, it will stay there unless I throat it and run single feed.
I now have a 30 Nosler .225fb to take the place of the RUM shooting the 215's.

Liddy
