We have had great results with 175 ablr in 280ai, 7 saum and 7mag on elk and deer running them over 3000 fps. Had exits with them past 600 yds on elk and the one we do find are nice mushrooms. Used the 210 ablr in 300 prc this year running over 3100 performed good as close as 30 yards on elk. I haven't been able to blow one up yet even shooting them thru stacks of newspaper at close range. The 160 ab work very well too .

I jump the ABLR .075" and until I started jumping them I was not all that impressed with accuracy I was seeing.
If you try LRAB good luck.
I shoot mostly 30 cal rifles and all 3 of my 300 win mags would not group well at all.
I ended giving them away and stuck to my regular Accubond 180 gr bullets.
All that was done when primers and powder was easy to get but since the shortage I won't try them ever again.

The LRAB like more jump, standard loading of .010 off the lands they won't group. Try .090 to .110 jump for them to group the best. This has been my experience using them in 4 different rifles. 25-06, 30-06, 300 rum, and 300 win mag. It's not intuitive to experienced reloaders to have so much freebore, but it "usually" works. But still, not every gun will like a given bullet, your mileage may vary.
It's a shame that they need jump because it cuts a bit into powder capacity, but they're still my go to load for 30-06. They expand like a dream from 2600fps all the way down to 1600fps (maybe lower, haven't seen results for myself at lower velocity but nosler claims down to 1300)

I may try them again when the primer/powder shortage ever ends.
I will try 3 at .100 and three at .105 and 3 at .110.

I wonder if a different burn rate powder help the less powder/velocity problem?

Possibly, but I'm already using the powders that can get the most velocity out of the 06. But I can still run them at 2605 FPS, which with 210 grains carries plenty of energy within the ranges I shoot '06. Where it falls off I use magnum rifles instead.
I have 2 loads for them for 06 (second load because of powder shortage)
IMR 4831, gets me around 2580, and RL19, which gets me 2605. Both loads are at or slightly above max powder charge but I have no pressure signs. The RL19 is compressed, I believe I could get more velocity if I could seat further, but in the 06 it just doesn't have enough room in the case. Easier to just step up to win mag or rum (or once my next build is complete, 300 terminator, but I plan on using 245 Bergers or 250 atips in that)

First shot was rear shoulder and he went down after a few steps
I sent another while he was down and it looked like a perfect center lung hit, he went flat and rolled down the mountain into a nasty ravine.
It was almost dark and I figured he was dead for sure.
I hiked in the next morning and found the blood slide in the snow.
I followed it to the bottom and there was no bull!
I started tracking and kicked him out of thick timber, he tore off like he was fine.
I tracked him for over 2 miles up and over several steep mountain peaks, ended up losing the trail a few days later.
Pretty bad deal, I've never lost a rifle bull.
One thing I noticed is there was very little blood, even in his bed where I bumped him.
Impact velocity was around 2000 fps, I had a spotter who verified the location of both shots and I saw the impacts as well.
I can't say for sure what happened with those bullets without a recovery but I definitely won't be using them again.

Easy to referee a game when it's over, but for me while he was taking a few steps I'd of hit him 2 or 3 more times.
Never easy to loose one some are rather obtuse about it but thankfully most don't feel that way thankfully.
I can understand why you wouldn't feel comfy in using the bullet again, though in all honesty without recovering the bull one can't know for sure where the bullets hit and what angle the bull was at those shots. Many times I've hit a critter and thought it was standing exactly this or that way and afterwards I'd sort out that it wasn't.
Did you cut your tag and call it a year?
Side note, I wacked a good bull this year @ 297 yards using the 168 LRAB out of my Mashburn. Said volunteer bounced. I recovered the bullet, it was in pretty good shape but not outstanding. I"m fairly confident that in my case either the Accubond and or the oldy but goody Partition would of pushed on thru.

Yep I burned it in my camp stove with 2 more weeks in the season, it was a big 6x6 and an expensive out of state tag
