Been working on a load for the new rifle. Factory ammo left a lot to be desired in the 127 LRX loads (2980-3040's with three different lot numbers vs factory 3225 spec). Worked up a load for the 135 A-tip which worked well on a couple of coyotes and a wolf last month. Finally acquired some Rl-25 powder, rifle seems to like it; found a great load for the 127 running 67.5 grns with BR-2 primers seated to 3.40 which just fits in the mag well. It's clocking 3281'/s with 16es and 6.8sd holding just under 0.8moa (2.3" at 300yds) with zero high pressure signs. Anybody getting better results with Rl-26 or the slower powders? The Hodgdon manual shows the best performance is with 869.....great powder for semi-static temp conditions, all over the board with a temp delta greater than 20F; I have a bunch for other calibers and it would be nice to consolidate. I'd like to be able to use it on elk out to 500yds. It shoots the factory 140 Interlocks incredibly well though they are ballistic footballs at a littler under 3000'/s :(

Can't seem to find a set of dies available for mine. Have a bunch of different bullets, Retumbo, H1000, RL25, and RL26 ready to go.

Brownells has them. A buddy bought some a few hrs ago.
From what I can see they are still on backorder, a member here bought me a set at his local sportsman's and is shipping them to me.

Maybe post the link of set available from Brownells on case someone else needs them.

Thanks

After getting brass from Weatherby and dies one at a time from various sources I initially could only scrouge up RL25, GM215M and GM210's and 140 gr Game Kings. Settled on 65.6 grains at 3035 SD 14.8 with 100 yards groups averaging 0.581" using the non-magnum match primer. Found 143 grain ELD-X bullets next with the GM210's and 65 grains of RL25 I'm seeing 3045 FPS, SD 17, 0.70" 100 yard groups. COL both loads 3.335".

By reading these results...sounds 'close' to the 26Nosler....
Just diffence in powder selections...& bullets of course...
140ab...nosler brass(of course)...fgm215....RL33-75gr....
PacNor barreled Nosler rifle..26".....
3200fps....
Supposedly shoot the 129Lrabs at close to 3400fps...but factory loads haven't shown this....
Was a bit touchy with loads..didnt really want to group well....decided to do the CLR barrel flush and groups shrank down to less than an inch at 100yds.....but since have run out of 140ab.....SIDELINED.....til more bullets......

As bullets have trickled back into stock I've managed to acquire 120 TTSX's, 129 ABLR's, 143 ELD-X's and have 140 Partitions on route. I principally hunt elk and prefer AB's or Partitions. I dropped my cow this year with the 140 Game King load. Not much of a test. Cows was quartering at 150 trotting. Thru the ribs one shot, dropped w/in 30 yards.
