Suppressor choice: most bang for your buck :)

Depending on what you're looking for (size, weight, reduction, intended hosts, direct thread vs QD etc), YHM resonator is supposed to be one of the best values. I have one in NFA jail pending right now. I also have a rugged razor which I love. It doesn't have the best DB numbers, but the mounting system is great and it sounds very good on my rifles.

I'll add to that by saying that I still wear plugs and muffs while shooting. My hearing is already less than great so for me its just another way to prolong cumulative damage.

I have a Rex Silentium MG7K in jail right now. Priced similarly to the YHM Resonator K but they offer a 25% Mil/LEO discount too! Can accept any mount adapter system that comes in standard configuration as well.

I just purchased an Elite Iron delta light. I am very pleased with it.
I also have 3 Thunder Beast, a Shark, Surefire, Silencer Co., and have used a Griffan Armament.
The Elite Iron is a good price and works very well. I highly recommend them.

I have a Lane Scorpion and a Banish 30. Lately I've been pondering the same "utility" question and I'm leaning toward the Mack Brother's Helium.
Pros:
-light weight
-30 cal
-qd and direct thread options
-middle of the road cost ($795msrp)
Cons:
-terrible website and no info or reviews out there

The Banish 30 can I have is made really well and is manufactured by Mack brothers. I feel like the features of the Helium might check some boxes for someone looking for value in a can.

SilencerCo Omega is a great bang for the buck. I use it from 30 cal to .17 cal. It's a fit over muzzle brake so just have the ASR MB on the rifles you plan to shoot suppressed.

I have a Thunderbeast .338 ultra I use now with my .338 LM and 300 WM with a Area 419 Hell Fire set up so I can switch the self timing break back and forth.

With the paperwork and hassle of getting a suppressor its best to get what you want and don't worry about price. While you can legally go thru a process to sell them, it never happens as the taxes eat you alive in that process. Used suppressor market hardly exists and you will most likely have it for life. Figure out what you want, and buy the best one you can find.

Just my opinion....I have a can that is ok, but wish I did more research and spent more to get the best one.

Ok, I'll be the fly in the ointment.... Thunderbeast Ultra 7 or 9. Yeah, it's expensive, but are you planning on buying 1 or a couple in the next year or two ? If more than one, buy a lower priced silencer, an a couple different brands in the future....you'll have a selection of ones to pick from. I honestly will probably only own one in my lifetime....The Thunderbeast 9 I have in 30 cal I use on 5 different rifles, three calibers and on two rifles used in competition..... I trust it to shoot the exact same way EVERYTIME , and it does....I thought about the less expensive cans, and getting a couple different one's... But at 3 cans, you've paid the government enough to have bought a can...BUT ...if you have the money to get a $6-$8 hundred dollar can now, I'd be filling out the paperwork now!!! The forecast looks iffy for future .....rsbhunter
