Inexpensive aics bottom metal ?

I have heard Legacy sports offers a set up for this I believe it is polymer may take a look it dont cost anything

When you say BDL and AICS, I see that as a BDL floor plate and AICS as a detachable mag (M5 inlet). Did you mean one or the other?
PT&G has a sale on a few items.

If you want to convert your stock, the inletting for the BDL bottom metal is different than the inlet for AICS (M-5 inlet). You will have to mill out the inletting to convert to AICS. And the BDL bottom metal will no longer work on that stock. Unless you DIY, it may be cheaper to find a different used stock, as you will have to buy the bottom metal of your choice anyway. Another option is, Kevin Wyatt makes a BDL inletted BM that takes removable mags. They are proprietary and AICS pattern will not work in it..... What action length/caliber do you have? And what capacity mags are you wanting?

I have a mini air dremel and inletted my stock for m5 dbm. It took quite awhile and consideral patience. It was a polymer stock. Wood stocks are even harder to do as far as I'm concerned. PT&G is about as cheap of m5 dbm as you will find in aluminum and legacy is the cheapest polymer that I know of.

If you want AICS mags, just bite the bullet and the stock inletted for an M5 cut, and use the metal of your choice. I currently prefer the Grayboe metal for the money.

You'll probably only find M-5 inlet, not bdl. and they will cost what they cost.....
Any recommendations for an inexpensive rem 700 bdl s/a aics bottom metal
PT&G sells both. M5 and BDL and both are DBM. PT&G BDL bottom metal is pretty inexpensive (129.00). The Magpul is your best option price wise

I quit playing the PTG lotto years ago. They make good stuff....if they have it in stock, if they ship it to you in less than a year, and if its even the thing you ordered.
While I agree, I haven't had that experience. I've been lucky. Never had to wait more than a month for any item ordered. I have heard your story from others.

A lot of folks on here are saying you need to inlet for M5, but I believe that to be incorrect.

I have 4 rifles running the Magpul Hunter 700 DBM. 2 long, 2 short- all are standard bolt face. I had a 300win that ran this setup too- just bought the magnum magazine instead of the standard.

it's a lot more affordable than going the M5 route if you're on a budget and have a stock set up for BDL already. On 2 of my HS precision I did need to relieve some material from the Magpul with a file. It took 5 minutes and fits/functions perfectly when done. PM me if you run into any issues or have any questions.

all that said, I also will run M5 on a custom I'm building right now. This is because I bought a stock that was already inlet for it. I like the Magpul though- and have it installed on 2 full customs as well as 2 semi customs. Good luck!

I have used the Magpul bottom metal on a couple of build, and it works OK. Depending on the stock, it often has to sit proud of the stock for it to function correctly, and magazines often needs some tweaking to sit in toe correct location for them to feed.

True M5 metal is better in every single way.
