Best 200 Grain Hunting bullet for 300 WBY (Berger)?

How come no one has mentioned Swift A-Frames? I do not have any experience with them, but they are highly recommended by big game hunters. Maybe too much for deer, but seems they would be good for elk.

Great bullet. Bad BCs.

SAF would be another darn good idea, plenty of BC to get to 500 with no issues

190 gr ABLR. My friends used that bullet to take 2 bulls each with one shot. One was in a 308 Win and the other an 06'. Both shots were about 325 yds. Out of a Roy it should be even better way out there. I would try the 210gr but sounds like you might have OAL issues. If it's a powder compression issue, change powders.

I like Bergers for deer sized game and smaller but for elk, bear and moose I use Barnes TSX or TTSX. I experimented with Partitions and Accubonds but have come back to Barnes. I never got great accuracy with Partitions and have had some issues Accubonds expanding on soft targets (heart, lungs..) A TSX or TTSX at 2500+ fps is absolutely devastating and I have never lost an animal.

You can get fancier bullets with better BC, but I have never, ever had my 300 Weatherby loaded with a 200 gr Partition fail on any animal since I bought the rifle in 1992. What more can I say...
I hear ya I shoot 180 partitions in my 300 WBY however I just did a ladder test with the 205 Burger Hunter elites showing promise. showing promise

What about the 200.20x Berger's, basically a 215 hybrid just in a 200gr pill vs the 215.
I was originally going to load them fir
My 300roy but having rifle re-barreled to a 30 Nosler and had the chamber cut specifically for the 215 Bergers. Can't wait to get my rifle back this next month

A friend I was with just shot a nice bull at 650 yards quartering away with a 300 RUM and a 200gr AB at 3200 fps. He broke its femur and penetrated into the vitals. It went about 20 yards. I'm not sure I'd attempt that with a Berger???
Nothing wrong with a stnd accubond at that range and under but there's been a bunch of elk killed at that range and much further with Berger's, especially the 215 in 30 cals. 12 days ago I killed a cow at 859 with a 215 and punched right through the far side shoulder with a golfball size exit.
