270 sherman short

Looking hard at a 270ss. Anyone know what length the 170 berger is to to the lands? Is 2.92 like the round pictured on the Sherman site? How about the new 165 accubond LR?

Real world load data and velocity with barrel length would be much appreciated.

YES I've searched the forum and not on lot of data on this particular sherman ss, especially with newer recent powders.

3000' easily with a 26" barrel snd RL26
24" will make 3000'

Yessir. thats what it was designed to do.
I run the 150 LRAB at 2.855" and 3152' with a 21" barrel

Don't mean to hijack a thread... I have a 6.8spc I want to rechamber to 270ss. Is there a resizer or roughing reamer that can do this?

270 Sherman Shortmag (SS)

The first 270 SS is now complete!!! Unfortunately I wont be able to shoot it for a while. I'll try to get some pictures up from my phone shortly. I started this thread to post load data on when I get some going.

Figured it was time to start its own dedicated thread since my build thread is getting a little old and alot to wade through if starting from the beginning and only looking for load data. ( and it sounds like Rich will be adding to it soon gun)) All of my data is for my rifle which has a 24"...
