I either screwed up or made the best decision ever

MY wife never shot a bow. In 3 months 1st in our league.

Became a Deputy, never shot a handgun, 6 months later got her Expert bar.

Why ? because they LISTEN to the instructors.
It's more than that. They don't feel they have anything to prove. Yes true, they do listen better than men do. Plus the old saying "hard to teach and old dog new tricks" is also true in this case. Men are hard to remold from old habits and techniques. Regardless, great to hear about women getting into the shooting world. Great for the sport and her partner who shoots.

most women dont have the bad habits that men picked up in their youth running around with a bb gun bird hunting and such, it makes them much easier to teach and besides that they are much more intelligent than men just ask one

I never should have asked her to come along. 700 yds, first time behind my Savage 110 Precision in 6.5CM. She's like..."Is this what you're always working on? That wasn't hard at all."
I've created a monster.
My wife hasn't shot a rifle in at least 5 years. 4/5 on the plate from standing rest, using Armageddon OG Gamechanger. Phooey.
Things just naturaly come easier for some than they do for others.
Shooting is just one of those places where women can excell, much to the dismay of the macho types.
But hey theres ways to get even, make her drag out her own deer. lol
