sale me on the 6.5 creedmore

I bought one...put a suppressor on it...for the kids. It works well for them and I can get match factory ammo that is accurate for pretty cheap. Creedmore is the only type of ammo available right now, where I'm at. I still like my .260 better but the Creedmore (man bun) is a fun shooter. It's not the end all be all cartridge but it goes boom and it can be shot at distance. We killed two antelope with it this year...both were boom...flop.

I have 300 ultras, lapuas, winmags 06 and now a pile of 6.5s. Me and the kids have been piling up the elk and deer with a creedmoor and it works fine. When it came out I was looking for a 260rem but ended up with creedmoor because hornady flooded the market and that's what was there when I needed it. I prefer the 6.5 prc but again found myself using the creedmoor for the kids sake. I won't argue calibers with anyone (I'm not racist I like all calibers) but I know if you can hit the vitals it's over with a creedmoor the same as with anything else with lower recoil doing it. So....why not I say. 7elk 1 shot kills 50, 75, 250, 515,515,315,202 yards.

So seems only thing in na gun magizine now days is 6.5 creedmore. Some hoe its the holy grail of guns. I am not knocking it. Just that looking at ballistic numbers I do not see it as any better rnd than a lot of older tried and true rounds. Give me your sells pitch.
I have looked at it and the 6.5 X 47, but I am sticking with my 6.5 X 55.

(man bun) 😆

If Hornady can't sell you on it I sure can't. I've used the 6.5-284 Norma from 2006 until recently, so since its inception I've called it the "6.5 Needmore". Now that Weatherby has the 6.5 RPM, they're all Needmores!
I know they have the 6.5-300Whtby also but that's tooo much of a good thing. The RPM may be also, it looks like a longer 6.5-284. I've seen their ballistics on the round and they don't do it justice.

The Needmore, not for me, no thanks. No harm intended anyone

How do you think you look with a "manbun"? 😂 memtb

Daryl Holland wrote an article about the creedmoor. He's a man who builds guns and harvest animals. I'm sure hornady hasn't bought him off so if you really want an opinion from someone who has made a dent in the shooting industry (American gunsmith courses) many look up his article. I think it's on this sight. Anyone who thinks it's for grizzley is a fool otherwise there's a reason it hasn't went away.

I think the allure is really the optimization of so many factors, accurate, light recoil, easy on brass and powder supply, barrels twisted to shoot heavy, high b.c. and high s.d.bullets. As Barrelnut said, it's simply a better mousetrap, not that most cartridges won't get the same end result, Hornady simply took advantage of a somewhat extended period of cartridge stagnation at the right time with a good product.
