Picked up 3 lbs of rl26 today plan to try it with my 300 win. Not much info out there nothing in any of my books. Plan to use it with 200gr pills could anyone give me a min and max from a reputable source. Nosler and Imr have a 4 grain difference in listed max and are all I could find.

I use it in my 300 Win with the 175 Barnes LRX. My max load is 76.5 grs. Also tried it with the 200 gr Speer Spt. Max load in my rifle was 68 grs even though the Alliant web site states 77.2 grs with the same bullet as max. First time such a difference has happened in all of my reloading. FYI

Speer seems to be in line with nosler on max charge. Alliant is 4 gr higher than either seems a little crazy. I'm going to run a ladder from 72.5 to 74.5 in my fire formed brass with the 200eldx seated .020 off. Hope it likes it local shop has like 20lbs available.

Just for your info 72 grs in my rifle just about froze my bolt with the 200 gr Speer

Interesting. Guess I'll start at 71...my rifle likes max or slightly over book max with retumbo and h1000. I didn't get pressure signs with either until I was almost 2 grains over book max. I'm seating bullets long 3.56 oal. Only brass I have used so far is hornady I have 60 rounds of Norma factory ammo I bought just for the brass but have yet to fire form them.

My rifle is a BSA/Cf2 with a 24" barrel. With any other slow burning powder that I have used through out the years in this rifle the max charges always jived with the manuals. Some time just under or a couple grs above. This load was different although the velocity I got (2845) wasn't far off. Please let us know how you make out with the 200 gr load. I'm curious. TKS

Grab some more while you can!!!! ;) I use RL 26 in my Win Mag with Berger 210gr vld's and ADG brass (a little on the heavy side for weight @ 254gr avg). I started load work at 71.0gr and ended at 74.1gr for new brass. The once fired stage has me at 73.1gr for 2980 fps muzzle velocity.
You're gonna love this powder, but keep an eye on your velocity if you shoot in temps above 80 degrees or so. My rifle seems to 'complain' a little when it's that warm....🤔

Loaded up a ladder from 72.5 to 74.5 in New Peterson brass. Coal is 3.485 putting me .020 off the lands. 74.5gr was ever so slightly compressed. Bullet is a 200gr eldx. Was planning to do another ladder with the same charges behind the 200gr accubond but I'm down to my last 15 and can't find anymore. Hopefully get a chance to shoot them soon its been cold and windy but this weekend looks decent.

I use a Berger 215 seated .020" off with 74 grains in Nosler/Norma cases primed with Fed 215(M). I worked this up OCW style and it has performed exteremly well in a multitude of weather conditions. Velocity is 2950 fps in a Christensen Ridgeline 300 Win Mag.

Using 195 grain ELDMs and 74.5 grains w/ADG brass a super accurate load, 74.00 grains under the 200 grain Nosler Accubond is very consistent. These are not max but very comfortable. Norma brass would probably add some powder but the ADG has healthy shelf life and the primer pockets are hanging in there. Fed 215GM primers.

Can finally update this. Ran 73-74.5 grains in .5gr increments. All 3 shot groups were under moa 73gr was 1/4moa 74.5gr was .4 moa. No pressure signs in new peterson long brass so im going to run another workup from 74.5 to 75.5 in .3gr increments and try to get them through the chrono. This combo shows a lot of promise. I have a feeling 73gr was the low node and the high node is just beyond what I went up to today. Pretty confident this will turn into my >300yd deer round.

I checked my log book and I played with the 75-76 gr range (virgin brass), but it was never a consistent, stable area for me. I guess the 'harmonics' just weren't quite right. I ran 74.1gr until the once-fired brass stage and then settled on the lower 73.1gr area.
