Colorado voted to reintroduce wolfs

That's too bad. Next they will want to bring the grizzlies back. They aren't worth the trouble or loss of human life or livestock. Everyone thinks it's so easy for ranchers to get compensated for their losses from these predators-what a nightmare. Sadly people that aren't qualified or have the knowledge to weigh in properly are allowed to vote on these issues. We now have north of 125 wolfs running around in NM, and I can already see the negative effects on deer and elk populations down in the Gila.

The voters of Colorado just sent the big game populations to preverbal hell and condemned its hunters to it as well. It wasn't bad enough that the game management practices were so liberal now they introduce nature's idea of the apocalypse . The gray wolves will spread like a virus eating its way through your elk and deer herd 24/7 365 days a year. No season no bag limits !! The ranchers will suppose to the wolves in lean times with their livestock. Hey let's just let it go to vote with the citizens of the state , the average guy understands when he goes to vote what all the issues are! Heck no they don't , I go to vote and there are referendums on the ballot that I have no clue about, I don't vote on it. Wolves however are neat, cool , a symbol of the wild .... imagine a cold black night in Colorado mountains and hear that solitary wolf howl . Solitaire Lupo , the call of the wild , yeah I get it . It's visceral but it's just criminal to reintroduce them with all the data that has been gathered in other western states . Oh just wait when mommy and daddy's Fife goes missing or better yet saw disappearing into the night in a wolfs mouth. That's was a bad decision that we made! That's because no one cares about the rancher, the sportsman or the guy just trying to make a living in the place he loves. People are selfish and see only their side of an issue. I've watched it happen to Maine , my father in law grew up and lived there all his life but worried his children would not be able to. That fear became reality , no work because the eastern elite decided to make it a playground . Keep Maine clean and remove most of the industry. Keep Colorado wild and remove the big game and ranchers income. I'm sorry to rant but it makes me so angry to hear you guys stories ! This should not be hard, have the legislature empower the Fish and game to do studies and make decisions based on what is the best for the herd in Colorado. Trouble is too much money to be made on wolves by a few and the rest of you residents well , who cares what you think! Is there a good sportsman group out there to join to start hard core opposition to this nonsense ? A group like the NRA use to be ?

I think what alot of people gotta understand is theres alot of people in these F@G offices that want the wolf theres only one way it can change and it has to start at the top.

This is the problem, there will be studies for habitat, range, Denning and food sources.
Then if they ever get off the endangered list and get classified as big game then you have seasons, restrictions etc it never ends.
Then the arguement will arise about how much money they contribute to the economy from tourists. MONEY, MONEY sadly thats what it boils down to.

Wolves were going to be in CO on their own sooner or later, they just expedited the process.
The "follow science" attitude of dems is the wave of the future. No money is needed or welcome to dispel climate change, or covid, and for some time, ecosystems.
I would love to fund a study on the per capita amounts of moRons living in cities compared to rural areas. If someone could make an African Gaboon viper look cute in a pic I am sure we could find a way to distribute them to every corner of our country too.
I read the other day some big drug company was investing heavy in plant based foods(meat). These idiots want the products and byproducts from so called "flyover" country, but will do everything in their power to make sure it comes to them at highest possible cost. From power to food, even clothing..

Pulpwood hit the nail on the head, but it's not just people from california but from the east coast and the liberals from washington st and oregon as well. As if our elk and deer populations weren't in enough trouble and now they are going to be running from a huge 4 legged eating/killing machine. They pack that is already established in the NW part of the state, is in one of our trophy units, coincidence or just dumb luck and now they are moving across the northern part of the state where the largest portion of our elk herd resides. So what is the state going to do when there are no elk to bring out of state money in? It's a very sad state of affairs when people that live in a high rise in the big city are voting for something that they have no idea about except the emotional part of the wolf lovers agenda.

Yep, they have been hear for years now. Rancher killed one years ago by Kremmling CO and a buddy has heard them howling at night by Grand Lake.... Only a matter of time before we start seeing real problems around here from the wolves. F'n idiots

BINGO!

Safari Club International is one of the best organizations fighting for hunters rights out there right now.
There are so many smaller groups out there that have different priorities, it causes our numbers to be fractured. If all of us belonged to one organization we would have so much more political clout. It's always been stated that us hunters make up 10% of the population, 10% are vehemently anti hunting. The other 80% are non participants and are on the fence. It's that 80% we need to educate and bring them sympathetic to our side.
Just like with the NRA, a lot of people don't like all their stances and with all the internal strife within the group now, people don't want anything to do with it. The problem is, just like voting for a RHINO or a Republican you don't like, what's the alternative? Vote for the other? We ALL need to be in a political organization that fights for us and our way of life..

We're already seeing Mexican Gray's on the Mogollon Rim, way far into Flagstaff area. The AZG&F don't publicly discuss its northwestern march. They are way out of the boundaries that were described at introduction. And these are not huntable. But I'm sure many have fallen to a ranchers truck gun.
The Rim country is home to Mule deer (seriously declining in numbers already), Coues white tail, and elk. These smaller wolves have no problem predating horses, cattle sized critters either. They hunt like Piranhas just like their Timber wolf cousins.
Until kids and parents start getting attacked, nothing will stop this species. And the animal rights and lawyers working wolf "rights" will never back off. Even the Game and Fish is filing suit against Washington DC elites over this introduction, for failure to uphold their end on this project.

Nature and wildlife photographers are Public Enemy #1. Grizzly bear, wolf and mountain lions are majestic creatures.
Bringing them into your home in the form of a picture, or painting is one thing, into your backyard another.
Try telling some snot nosed 13 yr old girl wolves are not as pretty in person as they are in that pic she saw.

Maybe we can clone Velociraptors and reintroduce them in all blue cities ? Homeless problem solved !
