300wm hates Berger’s.

Check your twist rate if you can. Just because it is advertised as a 10, doesn't necessarily mean it is. I ordered one and when I punch a rod through it, comes out 10.25. The 181 Hammers would not stabilize for me. The 215s for instance will shoot ok one day and then go to pot the next. Overtwist if anything.

152 Hammers are sweet out of my 300 WM.

Randy Robinett of Bibs bullets knows what he's talking about and I'm a firm believer in what he's say here.

I have no experience with Berger or Eldm. But the AB and ABLR are really killers up close to way out there. Loaded them in 4 different guns last year and 3 were easy to work up a load for. The 4th I had to change powders to get it dialed in. They all killed elk from 50 yds to 400 yds.

How explosive were they up close?

I just checked it's 1:10. I think I might order 196g I emailed Steve last night.

A 1-10 twist 300 Win that won't shoot 215 Bergers is very, very rare, I usually use a 215 to accuracy test a barrel if a guy is having issues with accuracy, a 215 under H1000 is always money, if it won't shoot that then it's a new barrel.

My Norma shot great. But my win mag doesn't seem to like them. I did a seating depth test with h1000 and n560 I couldn't get it to group at all. I was really bummed. I thought I found a group but it was false no consistency. I'm using Hornady brass because I have a huge stalk of it. 215gm primers. I plan on getting it sent into bartlein for new barrel January February ish I'm gonna do a 1:9 5r 27"
