Yeah, it is bad when it impacts us all. This is not free marketing. This is price gouging, like fifty dollars for a sheet of plywood before a hurricane, or six dollars gallon for gas during a power outage. You besmirch Trump but have you looked at the price of gas lately. Biden will have us singing the Chinese National Anthem while he continues to enrich his family with foreign money, and then wait till someone comes to take away your pet rifle and gunpowder and primers are illegal to sell. Free market!

It is not capitalism when only a few people have something in high demand and they gouge buyers.

Don't buy it. It absolutely is capitalism. If the price were "too high" no one would be buying it. As long as demand is greater than supply prices go up. That is just how capitalism works. Once again many of the posted pics of "gouging" were auctions started at low or reasonable prices. Buyers are the ones that drove the price up. I find this thread and the opinions of many in it absolutely ridiculous. If you want to pay the "normal" price backorder the components.

I'm not sure I follow you, either, but this nothing like free-market pricing. There are too many things going on in this country for us to accept individuals to make a quick buck by buying up everything on the shelves and gouging people out of money they could use for necessary things--like new brass, and that rifle they have been saving for. I live on the Gulf Coast Of Texas and before and after hurricanes people do this to other people and it is sickening (to me). Since I do not know you, I will refrain from guessing if gouging has ever happened to you, but if it has, you need to recognize this for what it is.

I am glad no one has ever priced something out of the range you can afford to pay. There will always be someone willing and ABLE to pay whatever for something in low supply and high demand. You must never have been in a situation where you could not get toilet paper because it was unavailable, only to find that someone that hoarded toilet paper was selling it by the roll for ten bucks or more. Gun powder may not seem like a necessity to you now, but if you do shoot a lot and maybe even have plans to travel to shoot in a contest someday in the future, you may find yourself wishing for a different situation.
 
It seems like a good time to figure out what other powders there are out there that will replace the popular hodgdon powders. There's got to be some good substitutes. I would take a look at ramshot powders if I had need for something to replace what im using.

Bump stock much? This administration took more gun rights away than the previous one. There is so much pedaling of fear but at the end of the day our rights have not hardly been touched, and now with another constitutional fundamentalist added to the Supreme Court, I'd say we're good to go as far as protecting the 2nd A is concerned.

That's not the point I am trying to make. Several on here are complaining about hoarding while many folks on this site would probably be defined as hoarders if there was a commonly accepted definition.
