Can you believe the prices that companies are trying to get for factory ammo. I just looked at Cheaper than dirt for 5.56 ammo. They want $300.00 for 200 rounds. What do they think. we are stupid? I will stop doing business with companies that are doing this. It's bulls**t. Last year you could get 1000 rounds for under $300.00 including shipping.

Just looked at Cheaper Than Dirt this morning. Green Tip are now $2.00 each. I price out 5000 rounds @ $10,000.00. Last year they were $1,400.00 and the year before that $1,200.00 for the same amount of rounds. That is pricey, and Highway Robbery in my estimation. They need to stick it where the light doesn't shine.

I stop last year in 2019 from getting ammo. They move the price beyond what is reasonable. I just watch it all the time, and shake my head at the prices they are charging or trying to charge. I guess they should supply a sign with a purchase of ammo at that price. "STUPID"

I would assume that the distributors aren't raising their prices, right? So any inflation of prices are coming from the retailer, whether online or brick and mortar?

Price increases from the producers downstream to the retailers as far as I have heard. Some factories backordered over a year, increased material pricing due to the pandemic, etc. But not $2.00 a round for greentip increases.

I don't think that's a safe assumption.

not trying to be an *** but thats the price to pay for not learning the last time this happened we all knew it was an election year even before the pandemic I always make sure I have plenty of everything I want a year before an election It is worse this time and I believe it will stay this way for awhile so get what you can now or plan on doing without it

Time to start reloading!

Here is a screen shot of what we are paying & this is from one of our cheapest suppliers!

if someone is willing to pay 25 cents per you can buy a few thousand primers every week or two

gotta get off the gouging highhorse though. You can still have handloaded ammo for less than a box of hornady match was before all this
