Disappointed in non-resident hunters

Just returned from a deer hunt in WY area 82 and I must say that as a resident who's hunted this area for the past 19+ years I left completely disappointed.
I saw numerous camps of CA, ID and UT hunters with open fires in camp while we have stage 2 fire restrictions in place. You can't even smoke outside of a vehicle during stage 2 restrictions. The state has signs everywhere stating NO FIRE, FIRE BAN ect and its virtually impossible they didn't know.
I also had both WY resident hunters (really disappointed) and UT hunters stop 50 yards away from me on two different occasions while I was glassing a small 20 acre BLM piece of ground and start hunting it - no etiquette. The WY guys deserve a good beating and the non-residents should just stay away...hunt you own state.

The last several years I've been on mule deer hunts on the Az Strip. More out of state than Az hunters. This I'd in the units where the condors live and Game and Fish has a crew going around burying gut piles to keep the lead out of their condors. The state will buy you two boxes of lead free ammo, but it's mostly ignored. These tags are extremely difficult to draw. I think the state G&F is doing quite well with all the higher dollar tags sold.

Hey, I understand your frustration. It sucks that someone started hunting the same BLM land as you were, but BLM land is owned by every US citizen, not just the people that live in "your" state. Might be starting a bit of a fight here, but I live in AK where most of the land is federal and owned by all of us, and that same thing happens here all the time. You try and talk with people and work it out, but sometimes people just don't care. They're going to do want they want. The whole issues with the fires is on a different level, you should have reported them.

I'm not surprised about the loosening of etiquette and morales in this country......I'm not a dem or republican, but do our current leaders (on either side) promote etiquette and morales......I think it's the opposite personally! All they do is chit on us, sling mud, lie, cheat, etc......and it trickles down!

And that is why I gave up hunting it got scary out there . It isn't much better with the predator hunting any more people that have no respect for the others and will lie , cheat and steal from you trying to keep you from hunting . let me blow your candle out and maybe mine will shine brighter kind of deal !

Idiocy doesn't have a particular zip code, and their are non resident hunters who do have etiquette and are very thankful to hunt in the one of the premier states. I live in a small town between Seattle and Portland and I don't agree with anyone who would broad brush stereotype me as an non resident without etiquette because of where I live and work. The campfire thing is either ignorance or idiocy. Had a drunk driver not t boned me last week I would've been leaving on my first out of state trip to Idaho, something I've looked forward to my whole life, and my etiquette would have gone with me.
