Introducing the Absolute Hammer

I'm seeing 50, maybe 60 fps advantage for the AH after optimizing for powder charge to the same peak pressure. Are there other reasons besides engraving pressure that would cause this bullet to achieve higher velocities? I don't see any setting for the amount of friction of the bullet after it's moving down the barrel. Would this even be a contributing factor, and if so, do any QL experts know if this setting is user adjustable? It doesn't appear to be. Any other thoughts?
I'm no QuickLOAD expert but would happily help any way I can. What about modifying the "Friction-proofed" setting to account for the reduced friction down the barrel. It seems to me it would be similar to Moly/HBN. Or possible bearing length? I know some of the bullets act different than others in the program. In the program the ELD-M seems to have less friction than the Nosler ABLR especially and even RDF and Bergers. I need to dive into the bullet files and see how they are different.

I would totally be up for collaborating on trying this out. Getting workable data from the results posted here would certainly save a lot of time, $ and barrel life getting powders narrowed down with a computer rather than real time. I'll shoot you a PM.

I'd be surprised if the designers of QuickLOAD would know where to begin. If you tell them reducing the shoulder diameter of these copper monolithics to caliber land OD is allowing for an additional 300fps MV, they'd probably be as dumbfounded as everyone else.

Seriously doubt they could have any prior data that could have been factored into the design of their software to allow for modeling pressure vs MV of this modified bullet. How could they? Far as I'm aware, this is a new and novel bullet design, with no prior use or data. Maybe QL provides advice for bore rider bullets? IF so, that might be a start in the right direction.

But whadda I know... maybe they'll know how to model these bullets as well as any other pre-existing bullet design.

I'll start with RL 23
All:
Please post results for benefit of all.
In working up loads for my 6.5-06AI I went through almost 100 bullets. This is highly unusual for Hammer load development. Usually it takes about a dozen start to finish! BUT! We're all flying blind with these new bullets😱.
Soon as I can, I'll commit to the first cut on trying to accumulate all the data gathered so far. Please be specific and complete with the data you post!
