Bergara Wilderness Terrain

I've been seriously kicking around the idea of acquiring or assembling a 300 PRC the past several months. I wandered into a Sportsman's Warehouse over the weekend and this rifle caught my eye. I was pleasantly surprised by all the features offered and after giving the rifle back to the salesman, I have been doing research on this rifle ever since.
I'm pretty sure I'll be buying one of these, but wanted to see if anyone else has picked one up and get their thoughts.

I like everything about the gun accept the detach bottom metal. Hunting guns should have a bdl in my opinion. I was about to get one for my nephew in 6.5 prc, but ended up just rebarreling his Tikka creedmoor. The grayboe adjustable terrain is a good stock, and for the price, it's tough to beat really. It's only the heavy side, but will stabilize well for long shots.

I have a Bergara Ridge, in 7.08. You will like the quality of the action, and the trigger. Mine is like greased glass, and the barrel shoots and cleans well. I like the fit and finish, and also the side release for the bolt. I have since, put it into a HS precision

NM, it was a premier ascent. Don't know enough about the difference between the models.

That is a nice rifle. The Bergara uses a Remington footprint. That said, you can put them into any long or short action stock. You may have to relieve a little material at the bolt release lever, on the side, as when I installed mine in a HS precision, it touches the side, and is too tight to allow it to move. Their barrels are excellent in my opinion. They make CVA muzzleloader barrels, and part of same company.
