Trying to decide between a cva paramount or the Remington ultimate. Wondering if the ultimate has a fast enough twist to support the new powerbelt 325 elr? Also does Remington allow the usage of blackhorn 209?

Remington does not approve the use of BH209. However, if you want to shoot BH in an RUM, then you need the Arrowhead replacement breech plug. Yes, its worth it.

The RUM has a 1:26 twist. My assumption is that it should shoot the 50cal ELR.
If the area you hunt doesn't require a full bore 50cal bullet, then my choice would be the Paramount but, I'd also replace that ignition system with the Paramount replacement from Arrowhead.

Get the Arrowhead breechplug! Much better ignition system! Best thing I did to my RUM.
