cabelas powder

Cabela stores were terrible IMO before they were sold. That is if you wanted powders, primers, etc. If you wanted a ChiComm-made camo flannel nightie for your SO or peanut butter fudge, they had it to the rafters. Haven't stepped foot in one in probably five years. Online was marginally better.
My Observations

IMHO
Both Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's are over priced and understocked. ( at least where I reside )
Bass's prices are always at list, and for firearms the only deal is when the manufacturer's are discontinuing a product line.
They sell to Bass /Cabela's and they in turn sell their firearms as loss leaders that they advertise in their flyers sometimes at as a discounted price and other times at their regular inflated price hoping (at least in the past ) to accessorize you with addon's such as ammunition ,scopes bases , rings , etc. ( that are all sold much like other retail stores at full retail value)
Additionally they do not carry certain brands as their buyers could not procure them.
I for one would think that as as large chain/big box all in one store that their prices could and should be a lot better.
However it's the old story I want more of your hard earned cash.
To that end I will stick with making my purchases elsewhere.
No great deals at either store, but fun to browse in
PS In fairness there are no Cabela's stores where I live !

It's not Cabela's or Bass pro. I spoke to a rep and they said the manufactures are not shipping products. Who knows, maybe G.Soros bought them out and knowing people are stock piling all the necessary elements for a possible revolt. Forget about reloading your own, buy as much manufactured ammo available NOW!

Fear mongering and proposing panic buying is not going to help us.

I shopped at Cabela's previously in OKC, a lot. Bought hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of powders, bullets, scopes/rings, hunting knives,etc......it too went down hill fast after the buyout. The last time I went to get some bullets for reloading it was bare. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the choices and asked the guy working there what in the hell is happening. He just shook his head and agreed that it's not the same place and suggested I order online instead of trying to find anything in stock. He said he didn't see it getting any better either......Now I drive another 40 minutes further to get my stuff.

Have a Cabelas less than ten minutes away. Haven't been there for three years. They don't have anything I want and was always overpriced. I have a Sportmans two miles away and I'm in there every other week. Very nice people.

I ordered some Rl 26 online from Cabela's in May.To this day I don't know what is going on with it. I have even phoned them and they said they were prossesing my order. My guess a lot of has to do with the Covid 19 garbage. At Christmas time their service was great.

I have not been to Cabela's since the buy out like many of you here, but Sportsman's Warehouse in my area has some good deals and were fully stocked two weeks ago. I haven't been in a store since then, but maybe I better inventory my supplies and go this weekend.

Cabelas I was a big shopper there. Now I don't hardy go in there anymore. I loved there camo, and Redhead never cut it at pro bass. I never like Capital One either. Capital One use to and still probable does allow people to charge pass their limit, then add $20 to $30 for each time you were over limit. They wouldn't stop the charges that were over, just a fee for doing that. I am just about ready to turn in my card. I had some point on the card and use most of them up.

Is out of powder primers and ammo the shelves are"bare" empty !!!

I buy 95% of my stuff online but always enjoy a chance to shop at SW. Shelves are (usually) fully stocked, and you have to love a place where quite a few of their locations have trapping equipment. They have their share of cheap, foreign lines, but their reloading components area is top notch. They, too, price at MSRP. Needed a cheap orange vest for a trip I was taking and had to pay something like $30 for a UnderArmour. Give me a break.
