I have a few scope choices and can't seem to make up my mind on which would be best for this range /hunting rig vx5hd, razor lht, pst gen 2, shv, or another bdx scope all scopes will be in the 3-15 mag range and possibly ffp if applicable all opinions welcome.

I'm debating the same decision for a .300WSM. Similar ballistics to the .300PRC

I have it narrowed down to the SHV and Kahles K624i
I'm going to order both next week and compare them side by side. If there is a visible difference, then that will be the deciding factor. I don't think there is much difference in the mechanicals or the reticles.

This is a pretty big swing in price. The kahles will smoke the SHV.

I have Swarovski and Zeiss glass now, I'm familiar with that tier of quality. I've been shooting Leica cameras for 30+ years, so I am discriminating when it comes to optical accuracy. But as with everything else in the world, technology has narrowed the gap between the tiers and the point of diminishing returns comes much sooner now. Out of curiosity, I want to see how close the SHV can come and if it is close enough to question the 100%+ cost increase to Kahles I just may decide to save a few thousand dollars. Mechanically, either scope will work. The reticles are similar enough in functionality to make that issue a wash. It boils down to how close is the glass and is the increase worth it.
